I like the idea that the fallen, and cabal were visited by the traveler before us and are pissed that it left that's why they are invading us the vex are just time traveling robots

Interesting thing is the cabal an interstellar empire building moon destroying race are apparently on the run from something seems they fled here to where the Traveller resides for protection perhaps.
