Poll to get rid of PVP to focus on PVE as it was advertised!
^This was an old poll I made before the release of the game. They didn't seem to listen back then.
Yup PVP is killing the game one bad patch at a time.
For those saying both Bungie already proved they can't do both.
69% don't want PVP to take away from PVE and rather see it removed! 6:58am still going strong! 10/24/14

See this is your issue. This is why you're toxic. You "assume" we want PVP gone because we suck at it. This is strait up false. We want it gone because players like you are what makes up the majority of its community as illustrated here clearly. We don't suck we just don't care to fight the same tiny maps vs tbagging little kids all day. All the PVP whines have effected the PVE environment I was fine staying in, now that that has happened I'm here to get rid of the issue that is PVP.
FYI Halo was PVE focused! PVP was an afterthought and only lan.
ONI was PVE only...
Also, so far every dude that has claimed I sucked at the game PVP/PVE in this thread hasn't completed the hard mode raid!
I've been a fan longer than halo 2-3 which is where I bet your PVP spouting selfs came from.

2 RepliesI don't mind the pvp. Should they get rid of it no they just need to separate pve and pvp. Like this whole thing with the lowering damage for weapons, it's complete bullshit cause for people that do have the vex have been affected big time. That weapon shouldn't be compared to any other cause it's supposed to be the strongest in the game. If they keep on trying to satisfy people they actually play the crucible they are gonna ruin pve completely. The bounty for thorn is a great example that pvp needs to get separated. I just don't see the need to have to actually play it. This isn't call of duty now stop making it into one of those games. This can be such a great and different kind of game. Listen to what people are saying bungie. MAKE THIS CHANGE.

I'm part of the 31% that wants pvp to stay because it's fun after beating the story, but it would be great if they could separate pvp and pve more, so beefing it in pvp doesn't make it useless in the story.

If they wish to nerf things for pvp it's fine they will never win, people will always complain until an item becomes useless like pocket Infinity. The only way to fix pvp is to use stock weapons in pvp and have a permanent mode like iron banner was meant to be. This is the only way to win the war bungie and still have a mode where weapons and level matter you will please both sides. Skilled players will love even playing fields like halo and pve people will love been god like in iron banner mode.

Do I think destiny needs what little content it has reduced. Again, no. I see where you're coming from and as much as I think PvP and PvE should be kept separate I don't agree that PvP should be removed altogether.

No it doesn't need to be gotten rid of, the devs just need to stop catering directly to whatever the pvp community wants. There are still major glitches in the vault of glass, yet the only thing PVE gets is "exploit" patches. Also PVE has been calling for a buff to both juju and thorn for quite sometime, and we were told OVER A MONTH AGO that those buffs were in the works, still nothing, yet a week of bitching gets the PVP kids a 34% damage nerf on the VMC. It's just ridiculous on the part of the devs to continually ignore half their player base (probably more than half really), you want to patch the "exploits" fine, but how about also patching the shit that is -blam!-ing broken??

You should only have to play PvP if you want to. I can't stand the PvP portion (a.k.a Suros Shotgun Wars) getting pve bounties that force you to play a portion of a game is horrible. There should be either/or options for all of those bounties that require PvP such as "kill guardians in crucible for 500 points or 10000xp in patrol mode". I don't care what I would have to do as long as I didn't have to go into the damn crucible and watch players hop around like kangaroos while laying on the trigger of their shotguns.

Pvp is a -blam!-ing joke here anyway just scrap it and play MCC when it comes out. The pve is currently a let down because they are catering to the little cod kids pvp concerns.

I also fail to see how any one part of the next planned update to PvP will have any kind effect on PvE. . . If you can point me to such a connection please do so. Other than being able to reach lvl 30 via Iron Banner gear nothing in that update comes anywhere near touching PvE. If I'm honest, if you can continues to defeat other guardians (many of whom may be level 30 from raid gear) in PvP combat then you should be able to get gear that can put you on a solid footing against them. Just my 3 cents.

Its pointless working on pvp without at least fixing all the insane amount of kill trading. Kill trading should be rare not about 20 kill trades on every game. Its a joke. Pvp is ruining pve and why allow certain legendarys to be better than an exotic. The balancing in this game is terrible and leave GOOD pvp to the pros. Make pvp a fun side thing to do. Not a main part. Its a pve game. Any pvp players will move to COD or halo and eventually battlefield. Unless all 3 of these games suck. You will lose at minimum 80% of your pvp players. Competetive players want good balancing and good netcode. This game fails to do so. I can't remember seeing a game with kill trading this common. You can't balance anything in a pve game as much as you can a pvp only game. In a pve game. The hardest weapon to obtain SHOULD be the best. The name of this gun is the mythoclast and yet its terrible. If this gun is weaker than any other gun in pve then its only a trophy. Nothing more.

Do we really expect them to bring a GW2, WoW type MMO experience to Destiny? I mean think about real MMO's, they have expansions that add hours of story content but they don't follow the console development line. They want Destiny, Destiny 2 the lost story, Destiny 3 the rest of the story, Destiny 4 that awesome story we left out in Destiny 1 re-worked. Look we can all dream and think happy thoughts but Bungie wants their game to be their way.

I hate the pve in this game. The respawn reatricted areas only aggravate me. Each level feels like the last one. Pvp gets repetative as well don't give me wrong however I find it a much more enjoyable experience than the single player campaign

While I don't play PvP I don't think it should or can be removed at this point. I agree that PvP and PvE should be separate from one another and have some have a ready stated I guess Bungie is working on that. As it stands at this moment there is not enough content to support PvE only gaming. Now as anyone may have seen in the YouTube that was posted last week the narrator made the assumption that there may have been a faction war setup originally slated for the PvP crucible play. I suppose you would have chosen a faction and then matches would have consisted of 1 factions players vs another factions players taking place in the crucible. This would have made things a lot more interesting for players of both PvE and PvP. Maybe there would have been perks in place for the winning faction of a given week that would have provided a bonus of some sort. Guess we will never know. Might have been interesting mechanic and might have broken up the monotony that is felt with a game as limited in content as this one is right now.
