Postmaster keeps giving me legendary weapons - why?
Four times I have gotten a legendary weapon from the Postmaster and am trying to figure out why. None were purple "legendary messages" from leveling up the Cryptarch or Vanguard. All have been purple Legendary Weapon engrams listed under the "Lost Item" section of the Postmaster. However, I find it unlikely that I have forgotten to pick up a purple engram during a bounty or patrol mission. Actually, I have never seen a legendary engram drop in game.
I'm a level 26 Warlock. I mainly run bounties, patrol missions and public events. Last night I got my fourth weapon. I had only played one public event but didn't manage to complete it for the Gold star rating. Nonetheless, I feel these "Lost items" are somehow connected to the public events.
I would love to be able to repeat this process and get more guns, but I don't know what I'm doing to cause the Postmaster to be so good to me?! Any ideas?

1 ReplyAlso remember that sometimes other peoples' kills will drop engrams for you. So that one poor dreg who got dunked on by that other Titan on the other side of the warsat could have probably dropped an engram... Which may have rolled off a cliff or something.

lucky sod,, I've only had one purple engram drop in 4days worth of play, and every time I go through the cryptarc rank, I only seem to get 2 or 3 rare items GRRRRRR. I think I am jinxed or something, I don't understand.!! I know a couple of other people who have had loads of legendary weapons drop, not fair. I am having to grind for mine. !! I wasn't sure if its based on stats or something, but would love to find out what

"Lost Items" refer to when you don't pick up a blue of purple engram. Maybe you shot that dreg with a sniper across the Mothyards and you didn't stick around to see what popped out of his head. This system is in place so you don't miss engrams, because sometimes they roll off the edge or hide under stuff.

someone is diing within proximity to you that is dropping a orb, you are not seeing this orb and not picking it up, thus it get mails to you.

Edited by WCC SLEEPY: 10/21/2014 8:00:39 AMIt's not random. Everytime you level your Vanguard and Crucible over level 3 you get a reward from the Postmaster in form of a legendary item. You'll keep getting rewards for every level you reach.

I've had the same thing happen as well. I'm a 26 hunter right now. I think it's just another random thing that happens. Sometimes all by it self and then when I'm picking up other items to.
