PvP or PvE?
PvP probably hand cannon, PvE the range of the scout makes it tough to pick against.
My thoughts anyway.

I was using a pulse rifle until I got the legendary scout and gotta say the scout is more versatile. Let's me save sniper ammo for when I absolutely need it.
