I disagree, the entire premise of this game is one of a cohesive game universe. You create a character that is supposed to develope as you play. The key being that this character is useable in ALL aspects of Destiny. It is essentially your Avatar in the the Destiny Universe, as it developes, you retain his abilities and benefits throughout all that the game has to offer.
