Yes i feel that 98% of the complaints about weapons being OP where from the pvp community, not too much from the pve community, they should just have made the patch for the pvp side of the game and left the weapons just how they are in pve, because now the pvp community are some what happy, but now all we get is the pve community complaining and saying wtf bungie, because they did the nerfs across the board, so now all those weapons they spent days to get and long nights in the raid, were now pointless and they all feel robbed of there hard work and dedication to the game.
What i think is that they should have made it where your character whould have a complete different life in pvp and pve, if ur a pvp type of person, then ur character would have all pvp weapons and gear, that would not exist in the pve world, also ur level and experience would only be in pvp, then once you step into the pve world, ur character would be at level 0 in the pve world, and would only get pve weapons and gear, just to keep things more balanced between the two worlds of destiny, just so that once a person knows of a "OP" weapon in the world of pve would dominate in the pvp matches, that would not happen, pvp weapons and gear stay in pvp, pve weapons and gear stay in the world of pve, just as simple as that.
Also bungie should make the match making of the pvp little more balanced by keeping all the levels at the same level, like ur first time going into pvp, you would be placed in a server where its only levels 1-10 then after level 10, you would then be placed in a room with levels 11-20, and so on. That would help keep things on a more even playing field.

The key being that this character is useable in ALL aspects of Destiny. It is essentially your Avatar in the the Destiny Universe, as it developes, you retain his abilities and benefits throughout all that the game has to offer.
