Error code: Buffalo

So, I've had this problem with my psn since earlier today around 2pm PST. I was playing Destiny up until around 1pm then I decided to go on netflix and watch a show really quick. After I finished my show I went back into Destiny. Before the start screen even shows up, I'm logged out of my psn. I thought it was just a random glitch (happens sometimes) so I continued on to the start screen and pressed x and it asked me if I wanted to sign in to my psn account. I tried signing in and it gave me an error code: buffalo. I searched it up and immediately knew that wasn't the case for me. I was on netflix and I was just playing Destiny an hour beforehand. There's nothing wrong with my wifi setup or signal. As I was signed out of my psn the first time, before I got the buffalo error code, it said I was signed out and I received an error code "80024ED6" which was pretty much the same thing as the buffalo error code. Again, nothing is wrong with my signal so I tried entering the PS store and the store is down too. I looked around the forums and apparently PSN was undergoing maintenance for 7 hours from 10am PST to 5pm PST....it's 2am october 14, 2014. The scheduled maintenance was for october 13, 2014. I don't understand what's going on right now nor why I'm not able to log into my psn while using any kind of service or playing any kind of game. Yet when I'm on the main menu, I see all of my friends logged in and playing destiny and other games as well but, as soon as I go into netflix, I'm signed out yet still able to watch my shows and movies?? I just want to know what's going on and if I'll be able to play online soon.

  • Exact same thing has been happening to me too, except it's been happening since Sunday afternoon. Try changing your primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and your secondary 8.8.4.4. This seems to work for most people, but unfortunately not me.
