The Vault of Molten Glass

The Vault of Molten Glass So I have this idea that Bungie could eventually create as part of a DLC, a permanent freebie or even a weekly event, which ever would suite them best. The idea is to basically create a new Vault of Glass and call it “The Vault of Molten Glass” – The word Molten gives a big hint for where I would personally place this mission, it is like a planet, except it’s not, it’s a star, a big hot ball of gas… THE SUN!! An all new adventure for players to go on as a team of six just like the original Raid, except this one would have more challenging puzzles, harder enemies, bigger bosses and more chests, in which I will go into detail about all of the above below. Location – The location of “The Vault of Molten Glass” will take place in the core of the Sun, now some of you will be thinking, the Sun is just a ball of gas and it wouldn’t be possible to get there, well, this is a game, it is a sci-fi FPS with MMO elements, which means there are no limitations for what Bungie can and can’t do. Players must be level 30 to gain access to “The Vault of Molten Glass” but by the time Bungie see this, most players will already be level 30 due the original Vault of Glass being quite easy once you complete it a first time. Puzzles – The original Vault of Glass has quite a few puzzles, but they are simple enough that 12 year olds can figure them out, players want more of a challenge, don’t get me wrong, dropping down into the depths of Venus is cool, but jumping up to places is a lot more challenging than jumping down, especially if you fall and die, because that makes it that little bit harder, which is what we want. Sync Plates, Confluxes and Portals are easily defended once organised, now that players are getting the hang of things in Destiny, we want something different, more of a challenge from the enemies, for example, on The Vault of Glass on Venus, at the start you have to defend 3 Sync Plates, stopping the Pretorian getting in and taking control of them, I would have 2 bosses fighting you at the same time, except they are bigger and better and have a lot more health. Confluxes are sometimes easily defended, but if one or two people die, it gets hectic, which is good, so make it harder and add heavier waves of enemies which of course will eventually lead up to another boss, although this time, if you are dropping into an area, make it deep enough so players can’t jump back up and kill the boss easily. Also the idea of having a Relic which cleanses your team-mates is great and has a supercharge that takes down the boss’ shield down also, I would keep the concept of having a Relic, but change it from a shield to something more brutal, like the sword from “The Sword of Crota” mission, which I know a lot of people enjoyed for the fact it was a sword. Rewards – I’m sure we all know where all the chests are in The Vault of Glass by now, if not, I am sure you can find a tutorial somewhere on YouTube, for me this takes the fun out of hunting for chests, so for The Vault of Molten Glass, I would change the locations of the chests either every day, or every week, just to make it that more rewarding once you find them. Also, these chests won’t just contain any loot, it will contain better armour to level you up to a maximum level of 35 (possibly 40, depends how Bungie feel about this) because I am sure all of you are quite annoyed at the fact of being capped at level 30, which I’m sure Bungie won’t stick to as the game is suppose have a 10 year life span. Here is a list of what rewards I would have, before I start the list, these will be never seen before rewards which would be introduced to Destiny: - Ascendant Materials - Legendary Assault Rifle - Legendary Scout Rifle - Legendary Pulse Rifle - Legendary Sniper - Legendary Shotgun - Legendary Fusion Rifle - Legendary Machine Gun - Legendary Rocket Launcher - Legendary Armour from Head to Toe - Legendary Class Item - Ghost Shells - New Ships and Sparrows - Emblems - Shaders - Very rare exotics (1% chance, again, just to make it more rewarding) Like the original Vault of Glass, you will only be rewarded for each section and chests once a week. Don’t forget guys, this is just an idea and I have no concepts for this, but if Bungie were to ask me for more ideas, I would happily share with them, so it is up to the community to get this post noticed not just to give us all more rewards and a challenging mission, but for us players to embark on a new adventure to THE SUN and experience something no game has ever experienced before!
