So rumor has it that the Vex Mythoclast is getting a nerf (No I don't have it.....yet) due to all the continuous crying.
My question is are you -blam!-ing serious?
The Community gets HANDED a TOP TIER weapon [SUROS Regime] and now that they can't get handed the Vex Mythoclast and it's actually an EARNED Exotic; people are crying like babies and want it nerfed. That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
Crucible ISN'T the only part of this game and the Vex Mythoclast CAN be earned by everyone through vigorous means.
Shotguns are still OHKO'ing.
Fusion Rifles are still OHKO'ing
But everyone wants to target the Vex Mythoclast because they can't get it, because they don't have the patience or smarts to figure out how to beat the Raid Mode.

Want to know why the VMC is smacking you and making you cry like a baby in Crucible when your SUROS doesn't cut it anymore after you were just spanking some Level 4 with it?
In the Regular Crucible the Level Advantage is Disabled. Thus, only Impact and ROF matter. Your Gear's stats can't pad the Impact from the VMC and you get destroyed. Bottom Line.

My Rebuttal: Stop. Because Hand Cannons, Fusion Rifles, and Shotguns can dish out the same TTK that the Vex can in the given conditions. Learn to outstrafe the damn gun instead of trying to rush out just because you have the SUROS and think you're entitled to a kill in every gun fight. Sick of people wanting to be carried through stuff. I've gotten into gunfights with the VMC and actually felt the competitiveness of the game for once where I had to adapt, rather than trading every kill.

The SUROS and VMC are both EXOTIC and should have the advantage of such. They're to be EARNED guns, not distributed like Green and Blue Engrams.

5 RepliesIt's not that idiotic actually once in a crucible match me and my friend walked into a room and we immediately died by two vex mythoclasts and now that's starting to happen more because more and more people are getting oh, and u said u have to earn it? My friend just had to join some people doing it on hard on atheon and they pushed him off and my friend was awarded mythoclast for doing nothing

I havent tested it yet but will do it for sure today. 34% sounds way too much. If the Vex is useless now, who will give me back my Ascendant Energy?! Ive finished the last Upgrade yesterday. I am a PvE Player and was happy that I could help out my Friends with the Vex but why the Hell everyone focuses on that PvP Mode????!!! Isnt it possible to to downgrade it for PVP only? Cause no one complained about it in PVE. This reminds me of From Software, where everyone wanted a Nerf for Stuff in PVP and this Stuff was totally useless in PVE afterwards. I cant even remember the Nerfs and Buffs for the Spells cause they weekly changed it. In short words Dark Souls II became s*it.

When only 2 of your team actually capture anything and stick together or everyone backs out entirely because they are going to lose, what am i supposed to do? Use a normal exotic that everyone else has? NO. I want to win, i want to make a comeback,. i will destroy anyone in my path to get to victory and that's what its all about, if you are getting owned by a weapon over and over again, instead of asking for a nerf just change your gameplay! I don't go anywhere without a large area in front of me in PvP, because i know for a fact there are shotguns, melee's blade dancers, titan panic supers and fusion rifles that can one hit me at medium to close range, where most of the flags are to be honest, so its not just the weapon, its the playstyle, if you keep running at the same flag over and over again behind no cover and on your own without a team and someone has a VEX YOU ARE GOING TO DIE! That being said i have stopped using it because people back out, the fact you get no rep for losing is abysmal, fix this and ppl will stop complaining as much.

As you said, it's not just bloody handed out, you have to earn it. If you beat the Vault on a mode where you CANNOT REVIVE I think you [i]deserve [/i]something amazing. I know I don't yet have the chops to cut that kind of mission yet and I accept it. I myself would like to see all Crucible damage cut back just slightly (save for sniper headshots, pointblank shotgun blasts and rockets) as it seems like you die a bit too quick as it is to me, but attacking one gun seems a bit silly. I will, however withhold proper judgement until I at least face the beast in battle or acquire it myself. I find the best way to test if a weapon is OP is to use it, not fight against it.

1 ReplyOnly time I noticed the Mythoclast was in a game of Rumble. Thought it might have been the Pocket Infinity until I checked. I managed to keep it pretty even with him, and managed to win some fights at longer range with my stability Vanquisher, but if he got the drop on me I had no chance. Only got me at the end when I had to answer the phone. I consider myself decent overall at the game, and could hold my own most the time. In team game modes, a situation you would normally lose against a Mythoclast can become a win thanks to teammates. The only problem is that in Rumble, players who haven't dealt with it before struggle to win 1 on 1 fights majority of the time, giving the user easy kills. Either way, I don't think it is that over powered, as I've only had one experience that even made me check what he was using, and still held my own.

2 RepliesDo you need some cheese with that Whine ? Just recently got the vex, agreed it is a awesome gun but you aren't unbeatable with it. I disagree on the fact that it needs a nerf. If you're going to bitch about specific guns let's just take them all out, go back to selecting either a machine gun or a battle rifle, sniper rifle in the middle of the map and rocket launcher spawns after 4 minutes of game play . I was the best player 9/10 games and after I got my Vex it is still 9/10, now the vex is overpowered in 3 weeks it will be another gun.... L2P

If that's what you want to do then you should play Iron Banner instead. End of story. The only people who are defending this gun are those who own it and don't want their precious OP cannon to get nerfed. It's pretty obvious when you go in and look at each of these peoples' profiles. It's absolutely pathetic.

I'm decent at pvp. I'm not the best, and not the worst. I use hand cannons and snipers. Today I ran into this gun and wow. I'm not saying it needs a nerf or anything like that. It's powerful though. I could get one shot off with my hand cannon and maybe a second. I played against some bad players with the gun, and it was hard to kill them. Good players were dropping my team lol. If we couldn't super the guy he could kill 2 or 3 kills before bringing him down. I'm going to start doing the raid on hard lol. I want mine.

4 RepliesJust ban all exotics from PvP. Game is now balanced. No Mythoclast BS. No Thorn DoT. No Suros/Red Death Life Steal. No Icebreaker body shot OHK's and infinite ammo. Best shot wins. I run a Vanquisher/Comedian/Deviant Gravity and I do fine (killed my share of Mythoclast users, too).

6 RepliesThe vex Mythoclast doesn't intimidate me. I have my trusty sniper. Therefore, I have no need to engage the user in close combat with a good chance of dying 90% of the time. Just put a bullet in their skull, and they drop like any other player. Now, just repeat this process on a vex user over and over until he becomes irritated and puts the gun away to try and match you with his sniper. His game strategy begins to break and he only becomes not just an easier target to you, but everyone else. Now this won't happen with every Vex user. Just the ones who rely solely on their Mythoclast to carry them in PVP and get enraged by someone who is able to outplay them. A smart Mythoclast user would just avoid me after being sniped twice, but the ones who get mad and try to come back for a revenge kill only become easier to kill each time they come back. So the next time you run into a Mythoclast user, just pull up the sniper, aim for the head, and put that bastard down.

I find myself beating players with the mythoclast using my SUROS most of the time. I don't see it as overpowered, unless you consider both the suros and the mythoclast overpowered which honestly could be true. Either way I don't need a nerf, wouldn't be mad though as people like to use you having the SUROS as an excuse, but I was doing just as good with my shingen. I'd like to see the crybabies reaction when i'm still getting 15 kill streaks with a nerfed suros.The gun really makes a way bigger difference in pve than it does pvp that's why I use it.
