Ice breaker... best exotic and why!
Not only is it the strongest sniper in the game it also has the best range! I know what your thinking! What about patience and time!? Patience and time is great but the damage isn't nearly as high and it isn't as strong as the ice breaker- p&t has invisible upgrades! Yes and this is cool and great for pve but ice breakers amo regain is basically unstoppable! Most places in pve have spots that are great until you run out of ammo it also allows you to switch to a different exotic then switch back later without having to synthesize! This is amazing for bosses and you basically have unlimited special ammo because(example) say you have plan c but you run out of special ammo, quickly switch to the ice breaker for 12 seconds then switch back to plan c! You will notice that your plan c will have full ammo again! This alone makes the ice breaker better then invisibility! And on top of ammo regain you get explosive critical rounds! What do you guys think

Completely agree, been playing since week 1 and IB is my most used weapon. I use it at long, mid and close (close, without scope).

Just give it a couple months and you'll get over it.. I used to swear by my icebreaker but I hardly use it anymore compared to the way I used to

I love icebreaker but the ephridetts spear with field scout and outlaw his harder and reload speeds so fast u can basically just kEep shooting also had performance bonus so ammo not an issue either plus way more stable

4 RepliesI think that the Gjallarhorn is the best exotic. When its fully upgraded it basically one shots everything and it's a fire & forget weapon. Basically makes all the raid encounters trivial. Ice breaker is really nice but I prefer my Patience and Time over it.

1 ReplyI have both but I prefer the patience and time. The moment I saw it as the game was being announced, I knew I had to have it. If I'm not mistake, it was the first exotic I ever got. I also have the icebreaker and I only use it when...honestly I don't know. I do use it but not as much as my patience and time. I don't know. The unlimited ammo is nice but the way my class is built, the scavenger perk on my gunslinger class, the more ammo I can pick up, the better. I mean, as long as I am getting precision shots in PvP and pve (at least precision shots on most enemies) ammo hardly goes out for me. Although I do have to say the invisibility perk the patience and time has is pretty useless. It takes about 3-5 seconds to activate and only last about 10 seconds. If you shoot you lose the invisibility as well. Then the glare on the scope still shows up.

Fully upgraded Icebreaker is deadly in pve. No matter the shield color, you can take down even the strongest non-boss with one clip or less. Enemies with no shielding, just melt no matter the level. With all the supers, rocket lauchers, and grenades gone wild, it is not as useful in the current pvp format.

The unlimited ammo is the dealbreaker for me. To other guns... It's just useful to have in PvE missions. The only downside is the recoil, which is quite a lot

My whole life's mission right now is to have this gun. A good portion of the friends I play with have it and I'm so jealous. I NEED this gun.

Hands down the best sniper rifle. It is the ultimate PvE weapon with ammo regen. I feel like I'm wielding a long range shotgun with this thing. Nothing like it!

Ice Breaker is great - First exotic I ever got and I love it very dearly. The ammo regen is quite handy, and overall it just handles great. HOWEVER, its Ice Breaker perk, I gotta say, sounds cooler than it actually is... Sure enemies explode, in a teeny-tiny radius that doesn't do any damage to almost any other enemies... ever.
