I have never seen a purple drop. Im stuck at level 21.9
Im not strong enough to fight anything level 22 or higher, unless I find friends to party up, but the game is mic-less so how do I even get a fire team? I used to be in a Halo 2-3 Clan but they are long gone.
I was behind on farming and by the time i did, it was too late as (you still can farm in places) but engrams are blue blue blue blue green green green crap crap crap.
I have tried patroling and killing everybody I see over, strikes everything. The only way at the moment I will ever get a legendary armor will be in 6 months at my playing rate.
I would be happy if i was at least 23-24. I guess i should stop playing until something is fixed. I dont need farming to work, just give me SOMETHING jeez. Im blue in the face.

1 ReplyDo the queen mission u tool. m Or upgrade your armor. You are only level 21 and crying about no purples, level up the dam cryptarch. Earn some rep. There are so many ways for you to level up and you are going to cry because they wont give you the best gear in the game for free. So sad.

I was in your shoes once. I gave up on the dream of ever finding anything decent I decided to buy my gear from the Vanguards. I will never, ever hit lv.20 this way but it is better than being stuck at Lv.29 forever.

Daily Bounties, patrols, etc. You can easily get Vanguard to rank 2 in a short time and in 2 weeks can have enough marks to buy 3 Legendary armor items. My hunter doesn't even have full rare armor and she is already 22 so I'm not buying your story.

Edited by FCOL: 10/1/2014 8:19:23 PMYou don't need purple stuff to get to 24-25 just equip armor that has a light rating (blue drops) even if it has less hp then what you currently have. The only purple my Titan has ever seen is the stupid marks and warlock boots.

Do queens bounty. The 2 legendary pieces will Help Tremendously. Also, level up blue items. Blue armor maxes out at 15 light each.

You can get to 24 with blue gear just find the gear that has 14 light when you upgrade it. It will be 15 light each.

5 RepliesI hit 24 with all blues. Do Queen's missions for a helmet and chest armor. You can re-roll them and get the Earth mission. It only takes a few minutes.

Play crucible and strike play list and you can buy enough legendary armors to get you to 24

I'am level 25 and had 2 purple drops at level 23, received "Unfriendly Giant" legendary rocket launcher with 248 damage and 3 round clip, and "Ghost Angel Helmet" with 280 Defense, 18-Light +46 Discipline and +44 Strength. Got them doing the highest level Van Guard strikes (over and over) LOL but hey it paid off in the end. Give it a try.

You're gonna need to farm Blue's first. Be sure to do Strike Playlists as much as possible, farm your bounties, and keep up the grind. Work on getting your Vanguard Rep and Marks up, and while you're doing that you'll have blues drop. I was able to get to 23 before my first purple gear piece, and I didn't even have all level 20 blues. With the new system, as soon as you can farm level 24 Strike playlist, you'll be good to go

I got to 25 with blues I now have a few Purp and almost 27

Grind a level appropriate strike playlist and get fully decked out in vanguard blues. Then upgrade 'em. You'll be level 24.

Maybe people just don't know how to invite ? For me a mic would do no good as my language in not english if i'm able to read and write in that language, i don't speak.

Nothing needs to be fixed. Grind vanguard marks and rep until you can buy legendaries from your vanguard. Save strange coins so you can by an exotic from xur on the weekend. You can get to level 27 at least from doing just this. No drops required

UMMM pick a faction buyh their accessory , and play pvp till you have enough marks to buy their gear youll be instantly 24 with at least a helm and chest piece or chest piece and gauntlets.

Weekly strike playlists and bounties and then reach vanguard lvl 3 and buy gear with vanguard marks. 1-2 weeks you'll be straight

Best bet I'd say is bounties and patrols. It's also good figure out where and when the optional quests on earth happen as well for the vanguard marks for once you hit vanguard rank 2.

I did not see my first purple drop until level 26. Keep at it with strikes, queen's quest, or try the vanguard strikes. sooner or later you'll advance.
