I dont get it. What is The nightfall? Is it The weekly Heroic which rewards u with 3 strange coins?
English
-
No it is a harder version (level 28 with more skulls) that rewards a random legendary (possibly engram) or exotic item.
-
A ok thank u. Is it soloble? I dont have many friends.
-
It's soloable if you use god spots (i.e spots that you can go to where the enemy can't hit you).
-
Good luck finding any of those spots on the nightfall, it's possible to solo it but I wouldn't believe it without video evidence.
-
If you use the correct elemental damage it's actually faster than the normal 28 weekly. This week for example you can kill the lieutenant in the tank with like 10 arc burn sniper shots!
-
Idk about 10 lol but its definitely easier with arc damage.
-
Yeah for sure, might be 10 just a guesstimate, but to be fair, my Blue sniper was doing 32,000 damage when you blew up a wheel :P
-
Edited by Lannik: 10/1/2014 2:37:38 PMBlowing up the wheel, just like blowing up the Devil Walker's legs, always deals a set chunk of damage. It has nothing to do with the shot you actually took (or what weapon or element that shot was associated with), unless you're claiming each bullet was dealing 32k, which is just impossible.
-
It doesn't do 32k unless you use Arc Burn though?
-
Edited by Lannik: 10/1/2014 3:09:42 PMNope, blowing off parts like the wheel and Fallen Walker's legs will always do a % of the boss's health. It just happened to do 32k because Nightfall has higher health than say, the level 22 version--thus the % damage you deal by blowing off a part will automatically be higher. Arc has nothing to do with that spike in damage, what Arc IS good for, is blowing off parts faster from base damage increase. Just explaining the nuance of the mechanics, obviously bottom line is, while Arc Burn is active, use Arc.
-
Alright I thought the blow off damage chunk was effected by elemental... Anyways my point remains that the strike is easier / faster on nightfall due to elemental burn :)
-
Yea but what about the giant guy with the minigun and the bloody annoying rockets at the end
-
You can sit under a stair case and the adds can't hit you, all you have to do is headglitch a box and pop Arc Burn sniper headshots into him.
-
I don't have the link but I saw 2 videos of guys soloing The Nexus and Ocean of Storms on nightfall. The first guy used a god spot ontop of the nexus and the other guy camped in the room with that occasionally spawning pokemon looking thing, got an exotic off it aswell. Just youtube nightfall solos and you'll probably find them
-
Well i suppose if they were 29 I would believe it, I'm just going off of experience, 2 nights ago with the nexus nightfall, my friend had tried to solo it all week at 28 and couldn't come close and we made a team of 28, 28 and me(27), tried for a few hours and strategized, made it to the end and died over and over, it's no joke.
-
Lol cleared Nexus in 7 minutes last week on Nightfall. Pro Tip: Don't Jump Down.
-
What did you do about the minotaur every 30 seconds? How did you dispatch him each time? I did the same strike on level 28 but didn't have time to try the nightfall. It was tough for me and my buddy though, I'm level 27, he's 28. We fought our way through on the bottom, and beat it though. But just curious of your tactic on the Minotaur, while staying on the cliff since I considered this. I assume you rocketed or sniped the Nexus safely, and that was the easy part.
-
The reason why staying top makes this fight so much faster is mostly because there's no down time waiting for the shield to rotate out of the way. You can shoot 100% of the time. Always keep your eyes on the radar--when you see the Minotaur spawn behind you, EVERYONE needs to turn around, and quickly blow it away (1 person with a void fusion rifle can drop the shields in a single charge). By exercising coordination and situational awareness, you'll drop that Minotaur under focused fire in seconds. Then you return to hosing the boss with bullets/grenades/rockets, etc.

The secound guy who did ocean of storms only had blue armour and weapons, videos like 40mins, I think he was a sunslinger warlock
-
I mean Summoning pits, ocean of storms lol. Found the video
