Imagine finding different exotic weapon parts like exotic grips.. barrels.. magazines..sights ect and making your own truely unique weapon...imagine then adding what colours youd like each part to be then naming your weapon...that would truly save this game for me...like this post if you agree and bungie may see it...probably never gona happen but still :)

bungie get this in there the community wants it :)

Excellent idea, craft able exotics would make grinding far more enjoyable AND it would keep people playing longer.

I don't like any of the higher level armors. I'd love to be able to take an armor set that I like from white to legendary so I can look the way I actually want to look and gain the stats as well.

I never really enjoy crafting in games, even Skyrim I never found it that fun. It always seemed really repetitive n boring. I really like your idea though, I would love this to be a part of the game. The fact that the basic raw materials for weapons and armour would be so rare would make it a lot more fun.
-
That would be awesome. You could make the perfect gun suited to your particular play style.
-
DUDE craft ships......that would so rock.
-
Would love it if crafting became a skill that you can level up in its own along with a list of other rpg-ish skills. Give more depth to the game

I keep going back and forth on this idea, how crafting can be implemented, and here is my (so far) final wish: A new armorer and the expansion of the weaponsmith now includes a rotating group of white and green upgrade parts. These are themed towards the sort of bonuses/upgrades of these items. Common upgrades can add only to white items one 'uncommon' ability or replace the perk of a uncommon item. Rare and legendary perks can be randomly dropped, are located under materials in inventory, and can be decoded at their respective vender. They can also be crafted; one way to be able to craft is gaining the knowledge by deconstructing existing items. You have new ranking for 'crafting' that opens up new types of item perks as you level up. But you have to choose to do this by going to either vender and specifically destroying the item through them. You wouldn't receive materials or glimmer, instead getting exp for your craft. Rarity will affect amount of points you get from each item destruction. At the vender, you have the option of picking an item you are currently carrying. It opens the standard upgrade tree, but when hovering over the perks it shows the list of available mods you know and the cost in materials. Same sort of cost levels to upgrade a weapon or armor with that perk, plus additional costs based on the type of item you are upgrading. Each slot would have a new, enemy- and chest-dropped, material associated with it. Goggles for helmets, servos for legs, high-capacity barrels for heavy weapons, etc. Legendary items could require a Mote on top of standard costs because of the differences in power vs. rares. There can even be random legendary/exotic blueprints that let you, one time, add on a exotic-specific ability to a lesser piece.

Sounds good but i agree it wont happen ;) i would settle for just more guns and armor to get honestly

I think Transmuting should come first, aesthetics of one item with the abilities of another (Some of these Titan helms are hideous IMO)
-
Like dead space 3 work bench, brilliant concept :)
-
Probably wont happen in this game if destiny 2 will be a thing ever i think they should definitely do something with this
-
Bungie should add this Support is Supported
+more support
-
Good idea here.

I was reading this like a 14 year-old American kid at first, but then I saw the way you spelled "color/colour". I immediately was imitating the crucible announcer.

So good! Imagine if we could take parts of exotics too e.g. Take active camp from patience and time and put it on gala horn or thorn or pocket infinity (where did that middle come from?!)

Edited by GunshyMink74: 10/2/2014 10:46:53 PMYeah a really great idea that Bungie should look at.
-
This is a very cool idea. I hope Bungie take notice.
-
Nope. Please NOOOO crafting

That's a great idea and would be totally awesome maybe a future update for it would be nice

Bloody GENIUS!!!

There could be three "crafting" tiers one for each class. Forging for the Titans would match their medieval / knightly type class. It would begin with improving armor but end with them creating ammunition with new and unique properties. Alchemy for the Warlocks. It seems to be a natural fit for the class. Infusing armor and weapons alike with their elemental mastery. A helmet, for example, that makes the wearer highly resistant to critical damage. Scavenging for Hunters...Taking items from their fallen enemies and make them into something better and more useful. I mean how awesome would a hunter look wearing a cloak crafted from hides of the Hive they've taken down. Or a rocket launcher created with a Vex core that can track an enemy with deadly accuracy.
