Help improve Destiny

If you think Destiny is lacking, or there is something horribly wrong, or you feel you were lied to, or simply just have an idea to make things interesting, drop a line or two. No flaming plz. I like Destiny, I play whenever my job allows me time. I think its a decent enough game, that has some issues, and like most launch MMOs, it is a bit light on content. We all know Bungie is CONSTANTLY looking for feedback, the 1.0.2 patch proves that. So STOP WHINING and help come up with solutions. I'll start. *deep breath* A proper black market dealer. Xur is nice, but his inventory is... lacking. And the requirements behind strange coin and mote acquisition is a bit grindy. Add'l dealer should appear at RANDOM real-world times lasting for a 24-hour period at a random spot in the tower. Arrival and location should preferably not be scheduled. And as Ben Parker said: "with random appearances, comes random inventory." Give this dealer a wide variety of items; guns, armor, guns, ammo, guns, crafting materials, guns, engrams. Did I mention guns? No? well Guns. Lots of Guns. MOAR GUN. Random inventory should request ALL currency types. Glimmer, Vanguard Marks, Crucible Marks, Motes, Coins. Drop in a trade system--the Vanguard Quartermaster gives rep for crafting materials. How bout Crafting materials for a gun? ONLY ONE CURRENCY TYPE PER ITEM. I.E.: this rare gun is 15K glimmer, but this legendary helm is 5 strange coins. How bout these boots? Sure, hand over 200 spinmetal leaves. U want this shader? Pass them Crucible marks over. Sir/Ma'am wants a sweet engram? Gimme dem Motes of light. Vendors in general I dunno, I feel there needs to be more. As in, there needs to be more than one social/market place. The Tower is cool, but it sucks that it is the only place I can buy stuff. How bout a vendor in the Reef? Similar to the Queen's Emissary, but with more gun. And armor. Keep the current Queen's gear unique to the Queen's Wrath event. <Insert amazing idea here> Areas/Maps/Zones/etc OK first proper gripe: too often have I gone to areas that are blocked off. WTF, mate? I figure the Jovian Complex opens up when we can go to Jupiter, but come on. There is no reason we can't explore it before then. Why is the area you are first resurrected blocked off? It was open in the Alpha. It looked AMAZING. I. LOVE the sheer size of some environments. The Moon? YES. More of that please. Venus is amazing, but Mars? I wanna marry that map. I wanna have its babies. Red dust babies. Its the attention to detail. Give your artists a raise, they've outdone themselves. The Cryptarch I know. He was "fixed" with 1.0.2, but I think there is more to be said/done here. It is a step in the right direction with 1.0.2, but it is a short-term setup to placate the whiners who keep getting Basic and Common gear for Rare and Legendary engrams (I am one of them). A better solution would have engrams of each type have a significant chance to be an item of the matching rarity, I.E.: Rare engram has 80% chance at a Rare item, but still has a chance for a lesser or greater item. The Cryptarch's level adds modifiers to the % chances. -----> Cryptarch level of 0 = NO modifiers. Level 1-2 adds higher chance of item being of same rarity, at the expense of the % chance for a lesser item. Levels 3-5 increase the % chance for the item being of the same rarity, and the next tier at the expense of lower tier % chance. Higher levels keep the % chance of same rarity, and increase the chance of better rarity at the expense of lower. %chance for lower rarity can never be a 0 value, but get damn close. I feel this is a more positive experience for all, except for the soulless beings that have to code for it. This way, there is still a chance of getting screwed by the Cryptarch, but there is still a chance, and a better one of getting rewarded as well. Something tells me this is how decryption is supposed to work. My math is simply for example purposes only, and should be tweaked (heavily) before implementation. Story Nice job with "Show, don't tell." Unfortunately, you have shown us a lot with little to no context within the game. Yes, I can always hit up the Grimoire online or on the Companion (which is delightful, btw. great job there.), but to have to leave the game to do so breaks gameplay flow. Don't go the Mass Effect route and have some ridiculous codex in-game, that is...too much, and a bit of text overload, though narrated video, or video like the opening cutscene could do WONDERS for this problem. (This is more likely an idea for future expansions/games). Bungie: Destiny is NOT a bad game. It is a game with some pretty Brave concepts that needed a bit more time in the cooker. To compare this game to Halo leads down the path to darkness. Halo is the roots, but this tree is borne of greater fruit. Send more content (little things, like guns, are appreciated) and keep up the good work.

Fireteams Too often do I find myself in an external party chat with 3-5 friends over PSN, yet I can't play with them cuz I already have 2 other guys in my fireteam, and none of us are high level enough to Raid, and some have little to no interest in the Crucible. Three is nice, but I think 4 is the sweet spot, especially when one considers the fireteam expands up to 6 for Crucible and Raids. Better thought? Simply allow us to have a fireteam of any size up to 6 people and ramp up enemy difficulty based on 3+ team members. Larger Fireteams also open doors for larger areas and more vehicle combat. Strikes feel like mini raids, so it works there too. Vehicles As far as I can tell, there are only about 3 driveable vehicles. That's.... a short list. The Sparrow is....cute. As basic early and "always there" transport, its fine. Need more Jungle to speed through, but that's for another time. Boost needs a bit of reworking--not quite sure what it is, but it feels weak or too slow after that initial boost. And I'm willing to bet 98% of its use is under prolonged boost. I like that a double-tap gives another overboost, but it doesn't last long enough nor is it powerful enough. (All that said, I've only acquired the upgraded Sparrow, not purchased the one from the Vanguard, nor obtained any Legendaries nor the Exotic, so this may be irrelevant) The Pike is too similar to the Sparrow, onboard weapons notwithstanding. The Interceptor is too uncommon, only appearing with the Cabal on Mars. It is far different from the previous two, being slow and being able to lay down heavy fire. the boost ability is nice, but a bit jarring to those not ready for it. Awesome. set us up some APC's or multi-person vehicles or some kind of Warthog-like whip. Something to get people together. And horns. All vehicles need horns. Vehicular combat needs to make a comeback!
