Well isn't it obvious how many immature kids play games nowadays? So if you joined in on a PuG, you would have to constantly go into the roster and mute people. Nobody wants to have to deal with that. That's a reason why they don't have a chat in the tower, people would be spamming so much.

Lol i guess im being silly. Atleast put keyboard support. I would LOVE to see this game evolve into a high caliber MMo. But im afraid the lack of socializing will hold it back. I cant think of any mmo that doesnt have some kind of chat like destiny.

And again if that was implemented, there would be loads of spam. For end game content you would have a group of friends so you can communicate with each other. If you want to talk to people while you play, join a clan from the clan section of the forums. Alot of people have mics, and if you don't want to do that, just do a patrol and run around with the same person then invite him or her to your fireteam on the patrol. I did that for the first time yesterday and luckily it was a dad, so we had mature conversation while we played.

There are so many options they could do. Have a mute filter for lower levels or level range. Have an option in the settings where tower chat is always muted. Agree to disagree....you cant take out an aspect so huge just because someone is annoyed or offended. I was convincing 4 of my friends to buy this game, offering to drive them to gamestop to pick it up, and was shut down when they heard there wasnt a full time voice chat or keyboard chat. I see what you are saying tho, i quit playing halo for that reason, but this is a MMO, its something they are going to have to really think hard about because its just not the same not being able to sit around in a safe area shooting tha' sh!t ya know.

Sigh, it's a fps/mmo hybrid... Spam is the bane of all mmos, I've played ALOT of mmos in my almost 22 years of life. And I find it very frustrating to have to go into the menus and goto the social tab and put multiple people on the ignore list day after day after day.. and on a console it would be even more frustrating I assure you, from experience with ffxiv. Even in a full fledged mmo while your soloing you don't have anyone to talk to unless you are in a guild.

I say put keyboard support and have a low key Ultima Online chat bar that allows you to send PMs.....btw we all know spam sucks, and we have all played MMo's. Try dealing with spam on a text based rpg like the old MUDs. No one likes it. Some just seem to dislike it more i guess.

Maybe i should have elaborated more.....they dont have a full time voice chat because they dont want people running around being offensive. ...and all im saying is implement a mute for that purpose. I cant stand having to look for a group without being able to talk with the members first. And many of my friends dont play for that reason.
