I've Had Enough Cattle! Returning Destiny Today.

So after almost 5 full days of not being able to connect to the Bungie services via Xbox Live on my Xbox One I have decided to simply give up and return Destiny. I honestly see no end in sight and virtually no support or acknowledgment from Bungie regarding the issue. I know that I'm not alone here because I am on the forums every day searching for some sort of solution or even a light at the end of this tunnel. It really is disappointing that Bungie seems to having so many technical difficulties getting everyone online. I know that some people are able to connect without issues and I myself am able to connect via my personal cellular hot spot. But I refuse to sacrifice my monthly data plan just to play an online game from home. I know that I am just a single person out of the millions of people that purchased this game and that my voice really won't matter in the end. I have been a Halo fan since day one and have purchased every single piece of software that Bungie has created. I feel completely let down with Destiny and this experience has forever left a poor taste in my mouth. I guess you could say that I just wasn't "Destined" to play this particular title for very long. Farewell.

  • Sorry you and those in the same situation had a bad experience. We are actively working to investigate why some players are getting CATTLE errors they can't seem to improve via troubleshooting.     • ive been having the same issue as well for 5 full days now ive done everything from reinstalling the game to getting a new copy to resetting my xbox and internet loads of times and nothing has ever worked i plan on returning it tomorrow and geting my money back and waiting for halo or assassins creed to come out no more bungie products for me ive had it after this one

    • I have been talking with others with the same issues, I am hard wired into a gateway modem (modem+router in one) others with these issues that I personally know are also using this type of hardware. I am curious if there is a correlation here.. Tell me about your hookup. Wifi? Regular router? Gateway?

      • well there's your problem! you're playing on the GimmeUrMoney1.. switch to an actual console.. like say, PLAYSTATION and maybe you'll get actual service.

          • my friend and i returned our copys of destiny for the PS4 we hated the boring grinding and then when we did get good drops and took them to the cryptarc to see what we got 9/10 times we got greens from a purple engram and we got sick and tired of the damn boring boss rush mode that is given to you for getting to level 20 all destiny was was the same boring crap given to you in heaping spoon fulls your armor ment nothing at all it was just for looks as all the enemys in PvE Or PvP still could kill you no matter what there level was and if you had high level armor i was a lvl 29 titan and i got one shotted by a level 3 enemy the first mistake bungie made was making level 20 the final level once you get to level 20 you are forced to find armor with light on it to level higher but the sad thing is your armor will always be level 20 it will never go any higher even if you are a level say 30 titan you will still be using a level 20 weapon and wearing a set of level 20 armor this was lazy and will always be seen as the day destiny ruined Bungie

              • I play ps3 and have no issues whatsoever could this be confined to just Xbox live users? Not trying to start anything just wondering if I need to be checking anything

                  • YES!!! This is utter bull! hahah. Every night I play I get kicked off and it signs me out of xbox live when I try to play Destiny. This doesn't happen with any of my other games.

                    • Sadly, I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to remain hopeful that maybe the servers in my region (Middle East) haven't been fixed since the apparent hacking on the 20th. I just wish that I could play the game. Its like I'm being teased after only being able to get onto the servers for a small part of my day (five days ago). It would be nice if Bungie could release a statement to all of us experiencing these sorts of problems.

                    • I just used my hot spot to download the patch, disconnected from the hot spot and then reconnected with my regular ISP and guess what? I'm still getting the cattle error. Not only am I bothered by the fact that this is the second patch this week that has still failed to solved the problem. But I wouldn't have even been able to download the patch in the first place had it not been for my available mobile hot spot connection since there is no other way to connect to the Bungie service. Bungie, you have seriously dropped the ball here...
