The game is great, it hooked me like i expected, i enjoy pvp and pve. But main reason why so many pissed people is because bungie FAILED to deliver their promises. 1. They promised a shit ton of guns = that was all BS, they all loook pretty much same and sound same, just different skin and levels. 2. Exotics? Some are earned randomly easy on chest other a pain on the ass that require people to do stuff like pvp or heroic strikes. There are only 20. That suck imo. 3. 5 years and 500millions and the story is so empty. The voice acting, the drama, the cut scenes, the lenght, so many unexplained things and no character depth. 4. The lore is based on grimore which you read online? How about books or something else ingame? 5. Strikes are all similar in their objectives. Bosses are same enemy but bigger, fights feel heavly damage spunge and not strategy. 6. Worlds also follow a similar pattern and feel a bit empty. 7. They said explorers will be rewarded... gold chest? None gave me any upgradd. 8. World bosses? 9. Same kinda bountys everytime which feels like a life rutine. 10. Lack of things to do at tower. 11. Raid was promised to be a challenge yet it was done in 48 minutes and rewards a ducking ship, sparrow or shader????? 12. Exotic only earned through pvp??? Are there any earned only in pve? 13. Everyone will end up with same builds, they lied about lock a class for extra abilities. 14. Glimmer is kinda useless. These are some, dont get me wrong game i love it, but bungie failed at many things.
