Daily mission

I have a question. what is the point to the daily mission? all it seems to do is make a story mission lvl 22 and i don't get anything from doing them... so why do they create them without a simple reward or so?

  • You get Vanguard Marks, an experience bonus, and at higher difficulties, Ascendant Shards or Energies. You have to manually increase the difficulty to get Ascendant items.

    • I think one of the main reasons to have any sort of daily/weekly, along with the same reason as having bounties, is to have players play content that may not normally be played. By changing it up every day/week, it rotates the content and makes it feel less like grinding, albeit by a small amount. As EagleEye 989 and BlackjackHD have said, it's also good to farm Ascendant materials with, too, with the higher difficulty. Always check out what higher tier missions/strike reward you with to compare the reward with the challenge. :)

    • I only just learned that you could get Ascendant Materials from doing this at a higher difficulty. Now I'll be doing this everyday for sure.
