A vendor that sells every material, for the right price?
I apologize for this vexatious post, but, HOLY FUDGE, I need 64 helium filaments, just to upgrade TWO -blam!-ING pieces of legendary armor, TWO TIMES. From then on, it is nothing but ascendant shards, or ascendant energy. These materials are practically an enigma when wandering the land. Helium Filaments are very difficult to even come across, and it sucks that you cannot just purchase them, like maybe "x1 Helium Filament" for say, 100 - 200 glimmer? This way, it wouldn't be THAT easy to just upgrade everything, but it wouldn't be that hard as well. So, the gist of everything is, if a vendor was able to sell you the materials you needed to upgrade your gear/weapons, would you be for it, or against it? Why, or why not?

64 helium filaments? I think I got that much in a single sitting when I was pounding lunar dust for shits and giggles. The thing about those resources is that they are planet specific. Helium Filaments are found on the Moon and ONLY the Moon. Play in Patrol mode. You can go anywhere you want with no strings attached without an objective and no time limit. The Moon's surface is an EXCELLENT farming ground. Underground in the Hive Fortresses... not so much. Look for orange glowing canisters on the ground. usually about 5 or 6 in a row. If you can't see them, stop moving and listen. Resources produce a tinkling sound that gets louder as you get close to the resource in question. I've zeroed in on nodes just by stopping to listen. Mark where you've found nodes before. They don't go anywhere and respawn when you've been away long enough. Above all, have fun traversing around on the Lunar surface. Take some time to practice marksmanship on the Fallen or Hive popup targets. Participate in Public Events. Go treasure hunting. See if you can get on top of buildings. Go find out how many punches it takes to cause a Servitor to explode. Bet you spend more the two hours doing all this and when you finally get bored and leave you'll have more Helium then you'll know what to do with and start inhaling it to talk funny.

I managed to get 42 helium filaments in about 20-30 minutes in a moon run just now. Got it down to a tee for spawn places though. And I did randomly get 8 in a chest though. Was a good run! But it can be done. Need like 100 more for the rest of my pieces though.

In a single chest on the moon i got 11 helium filaments and although that is rare it shows that its not that hard to find them. Chest always have some of them and they around the world. Collected about 50-60 in under a hour to upgrade my legendary armor

1 ReplyHelium can be found on the moon easy. I can farm 50-60 per hour. Just go around in patrol mode and memorize spots

Well they are epic, legendary gear, its suppose to be a effort ya know.
