Does anybody realize that Destiny is far from over....?
Just wondering if there are people out there that realize that what we've played so far.. that 20+ hours you've put into this game so far is only the beginning? That the reason the "story" is lacking is because there really isn't one right now on purpose? That all we've seen so far is a brief introduction into the massive world Bungie is opening us up to (and a damn good introduction at that)? This isn't Assassin's Creed where you play it for 4 days, get through the story and be done with it. I honestly think we've only experienced a tenth of what Bungie has in store for us. Being an intelligent consumer you have to know what you're in for, the $90 I spent on this game is not for a 16 hour story and some silly side quests. It's an investment in a franchise from a company which brought us the likes of HALO. Let's have some sense comrades. I look at a lot, not all, but a lot of these complaints and when you break them down people are, in essence, complaining that they haven't played and seen everything the game has to offer yet. Bungie, over the next days, months, years, will be giving us more to play, see and do. Did you people play WoW or Skyrim for a couple days and then cry? No, because you realized that those games, like this one, are far from over after intro.
I also realize that some folks are never happy. If Bungie had introduced to us from the very beginning, 4389142 gun types, 4378 enemy types, 76 different planets and such, there would be those that after racing through all of it in a week would still be unhappy. These are the people I pray for at night.
I'm saying all this to basically say we need to give Bungie time to reveal to us what they have up their VERY LARGE sleeves. Stop whining about paying for expansions when I bet most of you bought all the Halo DLC when it was nothing but, if my memory serves me right, multiplayer map packs.... nothing to evolve the story like it is in this case... but different maps to shoot each other on... C'mon son...
Let's give an ENORMOUS game like Destiny more than a week to prove itself.. I mean hey, you beat CoD in 10 hours and then shoot each other on the same maps for half a year before complaining.

4 RepliesThe majority of the 'hate' is from the fact that $60 gets this ... And so far the FREE content is one raid. The assumption (ass you and me) is that any hard story will be a $20 DLC. I enjoy DLCs in most games but I also have received a finished product and I am buying new content. Until such time as FREE story telling content becomes available then there will be posts by people who are not thrilled at feeling that they received so little for so much. Just an observation.

Well said. As seen by the upcoming events schedule bungie is definitely got a batch of things up there sleeves. I just can't wait to see. Besides it seems that each new dlc will come with new raids, locations, weapons, armor, exotics, and maybe story. So everyone stop complaining. Do you still play and still get new things? Be glad that bungie did not make a game that has 10 hours of story and then you stop playing.

2 RepliesThe people who complain about not enough content sit on their asses 24/7... And play play play. Any game that comes out now days can be no-lifed by anyone. All I'm saying is a decade of creating can easly be ruined by a person who can't put the controller down.

I believ you are spot on. I didnt get a chance to play the beta I went into Destiny blind. This gave is amazing. I even really enjoy playing the PvP. I really does remind of the days playing MP on Halo. I love playing MP and am a die hard COD fan. I pre-ordered Advacned Warfare but I feel I will be to busy still playig Destiny by the time its released. Anyways I definitly had the feeling that after I had completed the Story and reached Level 20, felt like that was really just the beginning which makes me even more excited for this game. If this is just e beginning, I can't wait to see what the future of Destiny has in store.

Well said dude, I'm sick of reading everyone's posts saying they don't like the game because of this and that. Only thing that annoys me with the game is that you can't skip the movie scene parts. It's annoying when you're trying to run through the story with a second character just to use the level 20 hunter only legendary helm that ya warlock got lol. But as you said, this is only the intro. The tip of the iceberg is visible, but it has a shitload still hidden. Anyway, any 360 players that have read this, gt-crackbulb, add me, lv 22 warlock.

4 RepliesI truly don't even comprehend how anyone can say they have something up their sleeves, after you beat the campaign you either have to do PvP, or strikes for gear. Once you get the gear to beat the raid, then what back to PvP?

+1 completely agree with everything. While there are some things that need nerfing/buffing/tweaking, it's only been a week since the release of a game, seriously, it took Rockstar over a year to fix issues with GTA and the are still more issues with it then Destiny. I really do expect great things out of Destiny and really look forward to the universe that is set out for us. We have the beginning and we now have questions, isn't that what the beginning of a great story/adventure should do? The game is only going to expand from here and it will be epic!
