This I can agree on. I've seen the same shaders since the day of release.
I saw different shaders each day in the beta.

Edited by AdventureClub: 9/17/2014 4:56:56 AMI couldn't agree more. Allowing characters to buy and shade their armor to their tastes does not effect game dynamics in any way. Waiting for the one in a million shader drop of "battle worn rust" is killing me. As well why are their so many crucible and pvp faction armors and almost no selections for the pve vanguard armors

We'll begin to see more variation as the weeks go by. The expansion dlc's will give us more to want and buy too when those release. (Dark Below in Dec, House of Wolves in March I would think of next year, plus the unannounced dlc)

Thanks, I hope so! At this point I'm playing the game solely to customize my character. But with the lack of purchasable shaders and as a player who doesn't enjoy pvp crucible play I have little options in post level 20 shops

In the next week or so, expect a new story mission or so. Queen's Wrath comes end of Sept. Just check the Destiny Events update recently posted. It has more detail.
