People don't understand how much this game would benefit to a trading system... Since the accounts are saved on a CLOUD, that means duping cannot happen.
I have also picked up Legendaries and Exotics for a different class, wishing I could trade them with another player for similar equipment. YOU can earn your gear but it is your choice if you want to give it away, they should make a trading system where both players must accept what they wish to trade and must come to a final conclusion, if one player cancels to try to change anything, it will cancel the whole trade. Not hard.
The Cryptarch is a jerk, why have a chance of getting a Rare out of a Legendary Engram? Where is the "Earning"?
Random drops aren't "earning" since they are RANDOM, I play the game for much longer than my friend and he gets better loot than me...
EDIT: I can only EARN so much a week anyway, so if they limit how much I can EARN, which pretty much stops me from playing because bad drops.

... I don't usually agree with this, but I've been killed by a shit ton of people wielding exotic weapons like the Monte Carlo or Legendary guns like the Shadow Price. And since the game has been out a week, and buying such a gun is impossible for multiple reasons, it means they got at least 100x luckier than me. =3= Which frustrates me...

I could not agree more, a trading system would be a good idea.
-
I'm sure they've balanced drop rates for how fast they want progression to go. Adding trading would speed things up by allowing people to focus on one class. As such I imagine they'd lower drop rate at the same time to maintain the intended progression rate. Sort of like how Blizzard increased drop rate in Diablo 3 when they shut the AH down, but in reverse.

Edited by Primordial Bias: 9/17/2014 6:32:19 AMI think the problem is that you're more likely to get worse gear or even gear for other classes with the engrams. Trading wouldn't be better given how you didn't exactly "earn it," but at the same time, PVP does the complete opposite and is completely wacky. If the legendary and exotics you get from engrams are only for your class, so you wouldn't get a Hunter helmet for your Titan, and if the Cryptarch wasn't such a jerk, this wouldn't be a problem.
-
I would like a trading system for lower level gear, so you can help your friends out. But exotics would have to be account bound so people don't sell them, and legendaries could go the Diablo 3 way and only be tradeable with the people who we're in the lobby with you when you got it and set a time limit to trade, like one hour. That way you can't sell exotics or legendaries, but if you get a green or blue you don't need (or like a legendary class item you can't use) you can give it to your friends.
-
I would rather have auctions where the ones with the most glimmer, gets the item. While the seller gets the glimmer. Simple.
-
The reason bungle doesn't have trading is because that's mainly where the duplicating glitches are born.Would be kinda stupid if everyone cheated.
-
Here let me put in a great situation... Guy plays for 100 hours and gets tons of exotic legendary gear... His budy has played for maybe 10, hardly plays, shitty equipment. Friend gives him a ton of legendary gear he didn't earn at all. Great way to be fair. /Thread

Everyone who is hating on a trading system like a plague doesn't see the advantages of the trading system. You all see it as an easy win or something, when that isn't what it is. People are saying it'll bring gold farmers and make the game easy or something. That's stupid. I want a trading system so when I get gear for Warlocks or Titans, I can give them to my Warlock or Titan friends. Sure, I could just keep the gear and level a Titan and a Warlock, but I prefer the Hunter class. The only thing I can do with Bonds or Marks is dismantle them. I also only use Handcannons for primaries, so any other weapon I get just ends up dismantled. And honestly, I really don't think there are gonna be gold farmers if this game had a trading system. When you play PvP it says your level advantages are disabled, so your damage is normalized to make it fair. People aren't gonna waste real money on gear that won't give them an unfair advantage in game. Even if they do, so what? It still isn't Pay2Win since they don't get an advantage. I think a trading system would be nice, even if they limited it so that you could ONLY trade with people who have been on your friends list for over a week or something.

I just got an exotic. Too bad we can't trade :-(
-
Cannot remember where I saw it, but it was an official announcement from Bungie that there will be a trading system just it was not in at launch.
-
If anything, I would say that you should be able to trade after a mission is over with only the people that went with you. Also before the engrams are decoded, once they are decoded the item is no longer tradable. I don't think currency of any type or materials should be traded.
-
If they were to add trading I hope they are smart enough to add a Bind on Equip function. At least then people will always need to put in work for gear. Not just grab hand me downs. If items dont bind game will get borong fast.
-
Definitely would be useful. My friend and I play hunter and warlock. He gets hunter stuff, I get warlock stuff. Would be awesome if we could trade.
-
I'm sorry, but I want to play a game full of goodies. Those goodies are MiNE not my friends.

Screw the RNG system. I wont lie i've known a few gold farmers myself and the best way to stop them is to only be able to trade items of the same quality and once a week or every two weeks. So that gives the person who wants the better gear time to farm their own gear and only trade IN DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES. I mean f'ing come on common sense. There should be no market to buy or sell, just trading and that's it. That will seriously deter P2W and "Gold farming" because people will have to have item of the same quality and type and seriously debate if it is worth it for that week. And then to top that off, there should atleast be a damn NPC to trade in weapon parts/hadronic essences and what not for other types of materials because the buildup of these stacks is slightly out of control. There needs to be some type of economy here, right now...it's just NPCs sitting around waiting to BuFu you. Like 150 weapon parts for 10 relic iron or 200 hadronic essences for 1 strange coin or something from some type of vendor. That would get people motivated to go out there and value those greens again and the engram system would be legit instead of people getting 100 green drops per every 10 blue drops and 1 legendary drop and scream "-blam!- THIS SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!"!

Bungie announced that there will be a trading system but only once the game and its economy is settled in.
-
I believe there should be a trading system but only be able to trade twice a week and no material just weapons or armor and no exotic. During trades you can only trade 2 items at once but it cost glimmer to trade.

How to fix getting useless gear: Play more than one guardian
-
I completely agree with you because the same happened to me the other day
-
I see where you're coming from, it sounds great until you actually try it. Then it goes to... Well, you know.
-
There would be a lot of farmers. Selling exo gears for 3000 Baht each...
-
No trading system. It's rough but better this way
