Dude, you are so lucky, living in the central valley is the one reason I despise summer, it's about 103° right now, I always look forward to winters

I'm quite thankful to live in an area where the temperatures are ordinarily reasonable. The hottest it tends to stay is in the nineties here, with a few heat spikes every now and then. It's still hotter than i'd like, but I can't complain too much. How cold does it usually get in your area when the winter rolls around?

Edited by WORKSHOPWIZARD : 9/15/2014 10:40:10 PMMmmm, about 35 to 45 degrees, sometimes I've seen it get to about 25 degrees, that's the one thing here, super hot summers, and super cold winters, the weather here is all unbalanced.
-
super hot summers, and super cold summers,
Typo? And I don't know, that's not too cold to me. Thirty to fifty degrees is my ideal temperature range, but anywhere from twenty to sixty is fine by me. Once it starts getting much farther above or much farther below is when I don't care for it much.
-
Ha, ya typo, and for us it's pretty cold, but as soon as I can I'm moving out of here, not to mention the terrible air quality here, I heard living here now takes like 10 or 20 years off your life, probably just rumors but the air and weather are still terrible, so that's a good enough reason for me to move.
-
A smart move, i'd wager. My grandparents on my dad's side of my family actually moved away from here for the same reason. The air isn't horrible, but my grandfather had lung issues and needed really clean air to breathe easy.
-
Oh, my dad wants us to move but my mom tells him that it's to late now, which is also the only reason I prefer we stay here for now, I've already made all my friends here and I've only got 2 more years in high school(counting this year) so as much as I'd want to, I don't want to start all over.
-
That is a good point, if you've only got two years of school left you're better off finishing up where you are. It's really not too dreadfully long if you think about it.
-
Ya, that's what I think, but then I'm planning on staying here still for a couple more years after graduation just to build up some more money.
-
You have any plans to go to college later?
-
Of course that's what I'd be saving up for, college and maybe an apartment, I don't really like dorms...
-
Better find a job that pays well, education isn't cheap. Do you know what you might want to get your degree in eventually?
-
Oh I know, I plan to get my programming degree, I want to be a game developer/designer
-
That sounds like it'd be a fun career, but I was never technologically inclined enough for it. Best of luck to ya'!
-
Ya, it wasn't easy to learn the basics of the "language" but I also hope to work for bethesda, if I can, and thank you!
-
Oh, nice choice! I loved both the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. I don't know anything else they've really been involved with, though. Well, I always thought, if you have a dream then shoot for it. If you don't, you'll always be stuck wondering about what could've been.
-
Ha, thanks for the advice, and ya I love the elder scrolls and fallout, they are also made and published dishonored, and wolfenstein the new order, those are like 2 of my favorite side games of theirs.
-
Ohhhhh, now I remember about Dishonored. I liked that game too, never played any of the Wolfenstein games though.
-
Ya, the new one they just released was really good
