This game is a masterpiece
this game is a masterpiece. thought i would throw this thread in amongst all the whining little bitches who cant understand the concept of destiny or innovation.

24 RepliesHas anyone thought that there's a reason why there's no story to destiny maybe the story is about you literally just trying to push the darkness back and that's it that's why people have been disappointed about the story because they think it's hollow when in reality it's a story about a guardian fighting the darkness

1 ReplyI don't think it's a master piece or very innovative what so ever. I see to many similarities between other games. To be Destiny seems to be in an identity crisis. Much of what was hyped about is drastically over exaggerated such as weapons, maps, choices ect,.. They didn't do enough to flush out the world as I'd like to see. Tons of guns? No just different names slapped on them. Maps that seem to be the same size as those in the later parts of Halo 3. Shops have zero purpose, and forcing people to play pvp in order to get single player rewards is not a sound idea. That said, dude you're in space and can traverse other planets. That's pretty sweet in my opinion, Don't get me wrong I love this game I just see borderlands in a halo game for most of it.

1 ReplyPersonally I'm still waiting to be won over by the game (it is missing a lot more than I would expect from Bungie). But it's good to know that lots of people do love and enjoy the game, even if it's not you.

Ya see, they are so dumb, they forget what they did prior in the game so when they play the same content over and over a hundred times, they think it's new. Masterpieces don't get a 75 average on Metacritic. Innovation? Please articulate....what innovation? I am curious, did you ever play Halo? Because the gameplay is exactly the same, so the gameplay mechanics are over 10 years old

Honestly i thought the game was good until i found out that weekly strike and raids cant be done through match making, ive now done everything on destiny so its gonna sit there and collect dust

I think this game is rather average (despite the fantastic graphics, sound and particle effects). The game modes lack invention, the universe is very small, there is no variety in missions/story, there is no social aspect, etc The trouble is, I can't stop playing it.

1 ReplyIt's a good solo game, may be a great game if bungie sort chat and grouping. Masterpiece is probably abit of an overstatement but the game has a good base to build on ( except the social aspect, which is dreadful )

Eh can someone tell me what Destiny does that is really "unique". I mean yeah I am excited to get stuck into iut (haven't because of internet issues) but it doesn't look revolutionary to me..... and ...lets be honest it doesn't require higher education or any set IQ level to "understand the concept of Destiny".
