iPad Specific Destiny Companion App?

I remember reading that the iPad specific Destiny Companion app was supposed to be released once Destiny was out. Anyone have info on this? Really sucks to have to run the iPone app on my iPad.

I have it but doesn't show the character/guardian as it should. Mine is just a black silhouette rather than the 3d model. A lot of people have the same problem.
