I love all of the suggestions for how to work around this problem; personally the home button trick works for me. God forbid, however, that someone, whoever is at fault, Bungie, Microsoft, whoever, FIX IT!!!! Geeeeez guys. $400 console, $60 game. Put some of that money into a solution.

Edited by SKRAPZ911: 10/18/2014 7:11:19 PMDear Bungie, Destiny is a great game. What is not great, is having no sound after turning on the system from the last time I played. I have read some of the other solutions, they dont work. I have to put in another game, let load and then put destiny in. This is clearly a game glitch and I am sure your fans (myself included), would appreciate it if you could fix the problem.

3 RepliesI've had this happen on both my XBOnes. Both these solutions have worked for me. #1 Solution In Destiny press the Xbox Home Button (brings up home screen) Press the Show Menu button (one with 3 lines on it) In the menu that comes up select Quit #2 Solution If #1 doesn't work this has always worked for me. Turn off Box and pull the power plug. Near as I can tell this is a sleep/wake problem. When you shutdown the One really doesn't shut off but goes to sleep/hibernation. When it wakes back up the Destiny sound process doesn't come back with it. In order to restore sound Destiny needs to be rebooted.

It seems to be an issue that happens if your Xbox One hasn't recognized you/logged your profile... Mostly in the dark, from what I've noticed. Make sure you're logged into your system profile!

Just Press home and then click destiny again

2 RepliesI had this issue. Fine last night for launch, then this morning no sound at all. But still had sound from Xbox One and anything coming from it. I just took the game back to the store and they swapped it for another. Now have no problems with sound- can't play the game mind! Servers must be busy given the time of day. ..

This is so annoying! It keeps happening to me. I have to hard reset every time I walk away from the xbox

1 ReplySame thing, I tried turning the xbox one off to no avail. I had to start another game and then re-open Destiny. Working as normal.
