For those of you getting "cattle.."

Let's try to find a common denominator here. Any of you using comcast by chance?

  • Heres a common denominator for those who havent gotten on since Saturday. The Ddos attack from "Lizard Squad" most likely did some damage to the servers. Thank them for the downtime.

  • I have Brighthouse here in Florida and my cattle errors are constant. I'm really afraid I won't be able to take place in the Bungie bounty tomorrow.

  • I'm still getting the "Cattle" error and I've tried everything I can. And I have a friend playing right now online because I was talking to him. So I don't understand why this is hitting certain people and why we can't fix it. I've reset everything. Even moved closer to my router. I've got 100% signal strength with great download and upload speeds. Really starting to piss me off honestly.

    • Im right there with you people. Got the game last saturday and everything has been great, but since 9/20 I can't even connect anymore. Every time it says "blah blah blah" cattle error. Uninstalled and reinstalled, opened ports, connected to modem, connected to router, always wired connection, slapped my mother, confessed my sins... nothing works. Id like to see bungie make a cattle post like they did for baboon just so I know its a common problem. Here's to hoping something gets fixed tomorrow once the IT people get around to it.

        • I don't have Comcast. I played the game since launch with no problems. Now cattle error!! WTF. My son has an xbox one as well and we are using the same internet conection, same wifi, router, etc. He signs in fine but I can't.I can sign in to any other game or app just fine. why would I have to mess with any settings after using it for 10 days without issue?

          • I'm in Ohio using Time Warner Cable for my internet and have already changed the IP address, uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, and removed the firewall from my router. Nothing works. I was getting error codes centipede, chicken, ext... Now I'm only getting cattle over and over. Anyone have any new suggestions? I only got to play for about an hour before this all started happening so thus far it has been a waste of $60.

            • I recommend that anybody still having problems tries out some of the tips that people have replied to this post with..including messing with port forwards, static IP, hard resets, etc. The solution may be different for you.

                • If you have comcast just log in to your comcast router profile online (10.0.0 etc.) and lower your firewall security from typical to minimum security level. Worked as soon as I did that. Hopefully this helps some of you!

                  • Yeah, Comcast here as well. Though, a guy I'm watching on Twitch said he had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. Giving it a go right now.

                    • You need to adjust your ports in your router. Had that issue and looked up port fwd on xbox and no more issues. I too have cumcast.
