Bungie is officially retarded. Make the melee system like it was in Halo 2. Who cares if there is a "3 frames blah blah", there were far less complaints. Have you noticed how COD4 and Gears of War both do a "whoever hits melee first" rule and no one complains. Just because the game creators and designers can't touch the good players (hence the reason the pistol in H1 was weakened in h2, the developers didn't like that better players would 3 shot them, as they charged with their ARs), doesn't mean you should screw over the series anymore than you already have. Remake some of the maps from the past (back when bungie knew what the hell they were doing) like Wizard, Beaver Creek and Chillout, switch the melee system back to halo 2's and fix the respawn system (Halo 1's was better than this trash) Who else is really playing Halo 3 anymore besides the competitive community? All the casual gamers have moved on to better things, might as well help out the good players for a change. Maybe im missing something. but myself and my friends hate the new melee but it was never really a problem with the more life wins melee battles thing things. TRUE, it's lame in my oppinon, but it was more about the lunge, OR LACK THERE OF. You will see plenty of times people just blindly swinging at someone trying to hit thjem only for nothing to happpen cuz they are not 1 inch away from them. If anything should be brought back from halo 2 it's the lunge. And am i correct in reading that now, if both people lunge at each other there is a chance BOTH will die??!!??. Have you have been in a situation where two people have a shot gun and you both shoot each other and both die...yeh it's stupid. There are gonna be a lot of complaints that people are all dying at the same time and then back to the drawing board. Also seeing as you bungie yourself have now stated that a random variable is no replacement of skill, does that mean you will next address the Battle Rifle spread random variable? Anyway im just glad to see that bungie is trying to figure things out ya know, but it's hard to play halo 3 now. So many little problems sigh.

Halo 3's melee has taken a hard core turn for the worst. Ive been too busy to keep up with Bungie news this past cpl weeks, but lately ive been screeming "damn Bungie"! more than usual during games. Once a master at the bash your helmet in attack now it seems like ive been losing every melee contest I encounter....... This player is left wondering...why?????? I havnt changed my tactics, I have 5meg high speed open connection with no interfearing devices, a good connection, and yes, of course, skill ha ha ha... so that leaves only 1 problem to my knowledge... bungie..... I love you guys but really......come on guys.... Have the video to prove how horrable its been. OH and when I shoot someone in the head they should die, when I shoot them in the head twice they should definately be dead, when ive shot them twice in the head with the snipes and meleed them and then they hit me and I drop.... Thats just wrong.... still mad..... Won 2 games in a row on lone wolves and my rank DROPPED!! 43 to a 42!! took a first and second then m y rank dropped..... Much love to bungie, but really guys..

I think bungie staff is retarded.... No one was complaining about H2 beat downs but they insist on taking the 'smart road' and doing what they think will make the game more efficient. Whatever was done to melee, I considered it a big FU to people who love boxer. I always bash, and when the other person bashes after and I die... that is robbery to people who are genuinely good a getting the melee attack. I've been in situtations where I've hit someone twice... they should go down. Is the next fix going to screw over people that are great at sticking?
