Seriously? I can't view my Destiny stats online if I'm using Internet Explorer? C'mon, Bungie... I don't like Chrome or Firefox, and I shouldn't have to download a new internet browser just to view my Destiny stats online. Please tell me you plan on fixing this soon...
EDIT: I've started reporting trolls. If all you can do is make fun of IE, get out. I'm trying to call attention to this issue in the hopes that it'll be fixed.

Yeah, IE was working fine for me yesterday, now it's causing me same issues. Also causing issues on viewing on my phone(Windows Phone, which uses IE). Hopefully it'll get sorted soon. I'm not partial to Google products, just my personal preference. You could try making sure your plugins are up to date, if you haven't already.

Regardless of what users think about Internet Explorer it's still used by, at minimum, 15% of the population and it's capable of displaying plenty of other applications such as this. The numbers may even be a lot higher but the number of mobile devices using Chrome is throwing any real stats out of the window. Bungie just haven't got round to sorting it yet, probably because they feel it's low priority. The fact is, there are lots of problems with the companion not being supported by other browers and applications too,...say, oh, I dunno....Bungie's own mobile app for example. Incidentally, that crashes on my phone every time I try to launch it. Please stop trying to be Bungie apologists/IE haters. The companion needs a lot of work.

1 ReplyWell there's your problem, you're using IE, download a real web browser

1 ReplyI honestly have not liked IE in a very long time. Chrome is a great browser, even if it knows more about you then you actually do. However, I do not think this was a decision that was made to hurt Microsoft. I believe the real reason lies in HTML 5 and how slow Microsoft has been at adhering to the new standards. In order for the companion to work properly on IE, bungie would have to add in some serious back end programming to get it to work. That is not to say that they won't eventually, but it does take time. I think your anger should be directed at Microsoft for not keeping up with the most recent web standards.
