Don't go to the nursery with your big sister. You end up looking after the little shits while the adults and your sister do a meeting.

I've seen things you people wouldn't even believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. C beams glittering in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate...

When a stray dog runs out of an alley and tries to eat you, don't bother running away. Stand your ground, kick that little shit in the mouth when it gets too close, and calmly keep walking wherever it was you were going.

Always use protection. Always. Don't beat yourself up because someone disagrees with you. You're both individual people with individual thoughts. Fights happen. Remember, you can never have too many skills. People come and people go. Just enjoy everything while it lasts.

It's probably good to hold the door open for people who are in close proximity to you, when you open the door to a building.

Edited by HalfAssedMule: 9/3/2014 4:31:35 AMI have a 5 year old son that I take care of myself. I'm only a single father because I had to take care of my family, house, work, and lively hood, while my wife fought hard against lower intestinal cancer. We went through the gauntlet of chemo, radiation and expensive high tech surgeries. Eventually she was put on hospice and they supplied us medical supplies as I did intermediate wound care. I was teaching nurses fresh out of college how to care for wounds. She passed just last September.
I'm only 26 and yes unfortunately this is true. Illness knows no age
Patience is indeed a virtue and one that comes with time. Life truly is shorter than we believe. We are all given a lifetime, no more and no less. Where one thing may come to an end, there is always a new beginning.
