Though someone [i]can[/i] technically sketch an existing concept or image, it generally requires that the sketch to be stylized differently or accomplish something different than the reference. What this is, is a rendering. He has rendered an image in pencil. Sketching is assosoated with planning and concept generation. Sketches normally result in original work. Though you can sketch a pre-existing object the idea is that the sketch is the means to draw a form, whereas a render is a means to copy an image or form. [i]Broski[/i], please sit down and swallow your foot. The roughness of a drawing/rendering/sketch is not what determines that it is a sketch. You can make a rough rendering, and you can make a pristine sketch, I generate isometric sketches/blueprints of all my sculptures.
