I forget if the post I saw about this was on here or another site so either way I want to bring this up.
I feel if the Ghost companion spoke to you through your controller, it'd be badass and it would contribute to the whole immersion thing. It should have a toggle ability though, in case you're wearing headphones or just don't want to hear him talk. Seriously, this could be awesome.

Agreed :) x

I brought this up on the forums during the beta, and would still like to see it happen. The touchpad is criminally underutilized as well - we shouldn't have to repurpose the reload button to open chests / harvest materials / deploy the ghost. I'd rather Bungie get their various animal problems sorted first, though.

+1 Great idea!

This would be nice

They didn't want to get the Xbox crowd all butt-hurt.
-
would be cool

Considering the light bar on the back of the ps4 controller glows brighter whenever the ghost turns on his flashlight. I think this would be a cool, immersive option.
-
This should perhaps be an option as volume control is not ideal when sound comes from the controller. That said as an option it would be amazing. With Peter Dinklage by my side I would love Destiny even more.

All these controller-based gimmicks just put a further drain on our already pathetic battery life. Used to use ps3 controllers for days at a time. I now have to keep switching between 3 different controllers to keep from playing wired, mainly because of the useless light bar. Please don't encourage them lol.

Yes, this is a good idea

-
Yah would be cool!

This would really cool but if would waste your controller battery after and hour

bumpity bump

Cool idea

Cool idea but since only ps4 supports that and the devs have said they want the experience to be the same for everyone, I doubt we'll be seeing it. I think it would be cool. The phone calls in silent hill shattered memories on wii sounded cool like that.
-
That would make full use of the PS4. Not sure how much specific coding that would take since I have no experience with the PS4 platform.
-
That is a strange yet incredibly awesome idea!
-
Because last gen would totally be able to do that! BRILLIANT!!!
-
Great idea!
-
I use turtlebeaches that function would be pointless.

bumpity bump bump

Shadows of Mordor!!! Mwahahahahhaah
-
I'm shocked they didn't do this from the onset. As mentioned before, Shadow of Mordor does this to great effect, and it's a multiplatform title
