quoted from deej himself. is he threatening my life or something?
if not, can we please dispense with all the dopey pr stuff? it's great they have ambition, but there's no way this game will deliver on half this nonsense. it's becoming less of a tangible and more of a "feeling" passing into the ether. the only way this game has any chance to live up to this kind of hype is if it turns into jesus christ himself.

Edited by ShizRizGrizDiz: 8/29/2014 5:15:41 AMWhat he means by the fact you can never finish Destiny is because its an always online persistent world game. Meaning, they are always adding in new stuff. IE, theyll be adding in new mission(s) everyday. Then you have Nightfalls, Bounties that are always renewing. Then you have Raids. Not everyone is ever going to be able to finish these so therefore a lot will never be able to finish Destiny anyways. Along with Expansions and just common future updates, theyll be adding even more places, along with possible loot to be added. And with expansions possible more raids. The fact is, with a PvE game thats all online, like MMOs, new things can and will always be added. Giving you what seems to be an endless list of things to do. Thats what makes this game great. Thats what makes it different from any other console game. (PS and Xbox wise.) This game will literally be bigger than any other game currently. Maybe not size wise, but content wise for sure. But its also possible it could be bigger than, lets say GTA. I mean, we haven't even seen Venus or Mars yet. There was still another whole side of Old Russia to explore. The Moon was pretty big for what we had in beta, but even sone areas were still inaccessible and the Moon is their smallest Destination....wait? Yep you realized it. Moon is their smallest destination, which means apparently the Reef is larger than the Moon. So thats a surprise. But dont worry about the size and content. Remember, Bungie has had the idea of Destiny probably before Halo 1 came out. Just due to technical limitations, they were never able to build it until 5 years ago. So im sure they have loads of content just waiting to be made. Oh, and youll be doing all that with just One character at a time. With two other characters to create and play as, youre looking at 3x the playability of what already seems like endless play. And unlike Skyrim where all you have are different races or can be a Mage/Warrior/Rogue at the same time, you actually have different characters to play with different abilities, therefore offering different gameplay. So when people are worried about the amount of content and stuff to do, think again. And one last side note. I believe the future 3 Destinys are going to somehow be incorporated into One massive game somehow because the Tower is suppose to be the main hub right? So i doubt theyll make a different server for each game separately. This way you can explore everywhere from One and the new areas from 2 along with 3 and 4. Remember, theyve said Destiny is the biggest game weve ever made. This could imply just this game, or the series as a whole because somehow theyll all be incorporated together for one big massive game. That way no need to switch disks or games, because hopefully itll all be one. Oh, haha, another side note. Factions! Who knows how high those go. So youll be spending a good time leveling those up too. Destiny isnt your typical game where you get it, play the game, beat it, and never play it again like Dragon Age for example. This game will give you reasons to keep playing and coming back.

The beta was Jesus the game will be god
-
You may never finish the first mission. of course it is possible
-
Maybe destiny is Jesus... !!!!!!!
-
Deej is going to kill us all!
-
He's talking about multiplayer. Sigh
-
this is a very dumb quote. He added you could never finish it until you play every player in pvp. so basically you could never finish any pvp game with a large following. I can't wait for 9/9 but some of the stuff they are saying is so corny and lacks substance. It actually makes me a little fearful they don't have anything real to talk about
-
If we might not finish it why are they adding dlc to keep us playing I'm sure I will do this fast.
-
Yeah i will never finish it because all the other content is on the damn PlayStation!!!!!! Check out my rage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ai2Gd9jEEco&list=UUyLcBT8uarT5Bs79kQ8xsOQ

TURN INTO JESUS!!!!!!!!!
-
Challenge accepted.
-
*Dies before game completion from heart attack* *Doesn't complete Destiny* *Everyone remembers this thread* *Deej never lies*
-
I believe the idea is you may "never" finish destiny is the same way you may "never" finish skyrim or fallout and hopefully not like halo reach wheres theres always more challenges each weak and more PvP matches to play
-
He's most likely referring to the fact that it will take about 3 months to explore and find everything in old Russsia alone as mentioned in one of his earlier posts.
-
Happens to me all the time. Life tends to have its own plans.
-
Maybe he was referring to the thousands of people that will buy the game and stop playing before the end. The same can be said for any game really. He did say "may" which means there are some that will.
-
Well if you say you've done everything there is to do in the game, but you haven't gotten every item and beaten every challenge faced, then you haven't beaten the game have you? Even better question...has anyone actually beaten the game yet? No, so shut up and play the game first before you start talking this bullshit OP.
-
Nothing more than empty PR talk. Protip: Take nothing DeeJ says like this seriously.
-
Oh I will finish it....because its my ........destiny
-
Well, if the Vault of Glass is as hard as they say it is, then a significant number of players might never finish. In any case, challenge accepted.
-
PR BS
-
I take it you have never played wow before?
-
Edited by Ultron: 8/29/2014 3:01:14 PMThe only way to finish Destiny is : You got all the items You played all the class You got all DLC You killed every one in the world You did every single difficulty setting You use every single weapon and kill/headshot every single different mob in the game Ya..... the PR TALK is lame and stupid at the end. I finish Destiny if I did the raid in the hardest difficulty setting.

Jesus Christ would rule this game! He would just have to look at you in PVP and you would be vaporized.

This comment of DeeJ's was a little overboard. What he should have said was that Destiny has multiplayer which could provide endless hours of entertainment to players. His claim - that Destiny never ends because it has online multiplayer - is about as meaningless as bragging that your game is bigger than Halo. Please don't confuse the previous in any way as slandering Destiny. The game might very well be the only one I play for the next year. But they're making some pretty silly PR gaffs after a really well-managed campaign.
