Dear Bungie,
I have enjoyed video games since the days of Atari and Coleco Vision, but as an adult (sort of an adult, mostly just a big kid who keeps older and older every year) every few years I change from an avid game fan to an obsessed lunatic, waiting for what seems like an eternity, for the release of the next game from Bungie. It feels like Christmas when I was a kid and with each day closer to that magical day, the slower time passes and the wait just gets that much harder. So I just wanted to say thanks for all the great adventures and fun we have had because being a kid again hurts so good. You guys are awesome!
Thanks,
Levi
P.S. also I was wondering if I can just pay you now for the next time you sell grab bags because I spent a stupid amount of time trying to get one last time without any luck. Seriously take my money, I want you to!

You are not alone. I started with pong and now I anxiously await destiny.
-
My Birthday was August 14 and I preordered The glacier white ps4 bundle at gamestop and eversince then it is like waiting for a present I know is comming..
-
I wish I had that feeling
-
Feeling the same thing and also that for once I feel like christmas is coming earlier this year!!
-
I'm using your thread to also say: Thanks Bungie! Right now, I'm miserable waiting Destiny to come out... but, on the 9th, I'll be mo bedda!
-
It's like August doesn't want to leave, I should hijack a Vex's time machine and activate it to Sept 9th. This wait is killing me.
-
Same boat stranded out in the ocean trying to survive until 9/9 when the S.S Destiny finds us and saves us. Haha
-
I have not anticipated the release of a game since Quake II. That all changed this summer...August is definitely the longest month of the year.

As an adult, my expectations of what to expect from a game have changed. With all the hype, I have had low expectations and really have other things in RL to deal with. That being said, there is a part of me that has that sort eager expectation over what I saw - I think it's as you describe it: like it was Christmas and that there was that special moment waiting. Bottomline : Well said and totally understand.
