People really need to get a grip on this so called "console war". Bungie is making a great game for BOTH consoles. There are the occasional TIMED exclusives. It's not like they only made the game for PS. Either way, there are exclusive games for both consoles so it goes both ways. Everyone needs to just grow up. I don't want there to be an XBOX community and than a PS community. I want it to be one big gaming community. Thank you.

Self gratification. You bought a hunk of plastic.
Hooray....
Why is there tits and ass ?? Idk its just happens to be that It's a part of life apparently...
-
It's to distract from the truth. Besides a handful of game exclusives they're the same shit with different casing.

Edited by BBreezy819: 8/24/2014 10:21:44 PM
Why is there a "console war"
Because people are idiots. Although, even though xbox has its own share of exclusives for other games I still don't think it fair that PS users get content a year before xbox users. I'm all for timed exclusives, but that is just too long. I think it should only be a few months at the most.

because sony fanboys now exist on these forums. Wish we could go back to the days when it was just xbox players.
-
Because much like everything in life that has more than one option. Some just don't know how to let others let them make their own choice. If I was able to I would have both. I like more options for gaming. If I had the money to support both I would but I can't. I have to go with what I find to be the best for what I want.

Why is there a "console war" you ask? Because it's embedded in Humanities DNA to always compete against each other and tear each other down instead of uplifting each other.
-
Because people are silly. People think their opinions on which platform to have fun playing video games on should be the only way.
-
The community will pull together once the game is released, I'm pretty sure of that. These pathetic debates about what console is better are tiresome at the best of times. Buy the game, play with friends, meet new ones and most importantly, enjoy yourselves. Forget what the other gamers on the different platform say, you are never going to meet them online anyways.

Before time began, there was a cube...
-
Just human nature..., always want to be part of the best, most exclusive, most original etc. Unfortunately we care too much...
-
Console wars are usually waged between fanboys who want to justify their purchase and they're fought across the war-torn battlefield of the internet.
-
We shouldn't get worked up over a timed exclusive, I mean xbox will eventually get it too.
-
Same reason there's any war. When people disagree they feel like they have to fight to make the other people agree with them. Ignorance is a breeding ground for hate and discrimination. And the console war is ignorance at its finest.

One can dream for the stars but the sky's the limit
-
Simple answer is, Exclusives.
-
The console whiners will always exist. What's funny is that these systems cost a whopping 400$ !! lol These people, on both sides, defend their pennies (that their parents likely purchased for them) like it is a precious jewel. And sony and MS just laugh as their respective fanboys blindly fight to the online death.
-
Because people like to think they have the best thing out there and they like to argue about it to boost their egos. Better question... Why did you have to make a post about it?
-
People tend to support their console as if they created it.

Shoutout to all The versatile gamer's out there

Edited by Ralfufigus: 8/24/2014 9:41:40 PMPeople engage in things like console wars because they need to feel like the product they bought is the best on the consumer market. When evidence comes along that there may actually be a better product out there, they will go to great lengths to assert that theirs is better, including shamelessly harassing the other side in an attempt to make them feel inferior. It's all about personal security.

Edited by sergeantawesome: 8/24/2014 9:34:44 PMThere is a console war for this reason: there are highly emotional people out there who lack in a social life with social skills, so they spend most of their time on their video game console. These people take it very, very personally when you have anything negative to say about their console of choice. They feel it is personal because that console you just "insulted" is a huge part of who they are, and therefore, a huge part of them. They cannot seem to separate themselves from the console. They also cannot stand another console having something better than theirs, so they choose to put it down to make sure they feel better about their console. So when exclusive content comes out for one console, regardless if its timed, small, etc., the fanboys flip out because they feel "abandoned." For an example, the fanboys who played Halo religiously, because of a lack of social skills and a social life, take it as Bungie is moving on from them, like a marriage. Sony has these people too, and just as many of them. Unlike what others say, fanboys are on all consoles, and come from all ages, genders, and backgrounds. And because of that, they will never go away.

Because teenagers are going through an identity crisis while searching for a sense of individuality. It's nature. Not all teens, but most.
-
The wars are fun and they get people worked right up. The competition between the two will spawn a better product in the long run. If Sony had no one to compete with, they would just sell us an inferior product at a high price.

A game is a game and its only a game that you game in. Thats all for gaming today... Thank you.

I just don't care.
