Not worth it. The console is barely next gen. Not many games and it's over priced.
It will be a great machine when it's $299 and there is a catalogue of quality preowned games

My roommate has one and it seems like a solid machine other than the control. (the rubber comes off the joysticks very easily)

That's what I hear. Other than that the worst thing I've heard happen to the system is the blinking light if death. Kinda like the early 360s ring of death problem.

Don't let me discourage you from buying it if you think you will enjoy it. I'm currently in the same situation and I just don't think $550 to play Destiny is worth it for me. I'm going to fight my best and wait until I have more free time and the price comes down. I work 2 jobs, skateboard, and produce music. I think my $550 would go to waste on a game I'll never have time to play . -_-

I'm kinda in the same boat. I work 1 job, full-time College(med student) classes aren't cheap :(. Book aren't either lol. And I teach hip hop(fun money). Just praying that these two years go by quick.
