There are plenty of posts like that. The problem, at least right now, is that many of these clans that you see on the forums aren't going to last, because they don't have the organization or the numbers.

  • I've noticed this with a lot of clans. Most are just in it purely for numbers and it seems as if their "organization" is to just add everyone and then you invite people at random because they're in your clan. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot beyond that with many clans. However, I feel like there's an overall lack of organization on #clans. Too often do I see people who simply post that they're looking for a clan and offer nothing in the way of basic info. Too many clans make multiple threads and keep them all bumped so there's just a wall of their recruitment threads sitting on the front page, and even then, those clans don't offer anything special. Too many clan post look generic and you can see that their only function is to gather members for a big enough roster to always have people, not to build up a community of guys that love to have fun and chill both in game and on the forums. So all of those failing clans and people who are very vaguely searching for clans do nothing but clutter the forums, and in turn it decreases the amount of people who view clans that actually have the organization, but may just be lacking some numbers to back it up.

  • I couldn't agree more Grogabusk. There seems to be a huge abundance of people starting a clan on a whim and spam for numbers where anyone and everyone can join. I don't see clans like that thriving in Destiny especially when it gets to end game content. Quality over quantity I firmly believe in. I can't say I want a member to join our small competitive team that will just join any clan. Finding members who know what they want out of a group of friends to game with and our goals being the same creates a tight pack of players that can last and dominate. So for us organized clans in it for the long haul, we will thrive. But as of right now it isn't the easiest to find additional members to fill out all of the open slots. See you starside

  • Im sorry, I thought I finished typing my reply to you haha. I was gonna say that after release all of the clutter should die down until the clans that stuck around and are actually active in the community thrive. I do see where you're coming from though. I'm just glad there is more than one source to find a destiny clan. Then again, I made my own to avoid all this lol.

  • Me too! I just have been annoyed with the lack of information all these guys posting on here about looking for clans are giving. When I'm trying to look over to see who is looking for a clan, it's a tad irritating to have to hunt down which system they are even looking for.
