you are correct in your assumptions. We warlocks feel no need to prove our superiority to the hunters, for we already know it to be true. Nothing needs to be said.
As for our bonds, they are but a symbol of our oath to the traveler. They are a representation of everything that defines us. That is why my bonded brothers and I wear them and think not of how unimpressive they are. For we ourselves are impressive enough on our own that no flashy items are needed to prove this.

Don't worry, my bonded brother, for we can. Not yet, though. You are still but a novice. You have much to learn, a higher power to achieve. When the time is right and you have proven your strength, you shall hold enough light within yourself to solidify upon your bond, acting as a true representation of your power, as well as your resolve. This in not in an attempt to be flashy; it is the result of a power so great it can no longer be contained within your vessel of a body. Soon enough, both you and I, and all of our warlock brethren, shall know true strength.
