I already see hunters getting screwed in raids.

First off I'm hunter. Always will be. It feels like people already don't want hunters in their raid group. They say because it has no support sub class and would be useless. As someone who has raided for many years I know how important a dps is. Going into a raid with all warlocks and titans with their support sub classes active just won't work well. You need those killing machines. Could be a hunter, maybe a Titan with striker or warlock with it's void damage. The other thing is we don't even know at this point if the suspected third sub class for hunter is support or not. It may end up being some long rang heal or maybe even something that grants all your team invisibility. Who knows. Not sure why people are already shunning the hunter for raids but I can see the hunter being great in a raid as a bladedancer and I can't wait to see what the third sub class is if in fact we get one at release. It may very well end up being the best support sub class in the game, it may not but the point is hunters for life. Just like a lot of people who think the Titan is the best melee I beg to differ. Hunters melee is incredible. Note: I am not saying one class is better than the other. I actually think they are all great and I'll play all of them. Hunter will always be my main though. Just like the speed and throwing knife and the jump fits my playstyle. Very fast.

  • Come on.. i mean.. come on, none of the classes other than Titans really have a support abilities worth talking about, ooooh sunsinger gets an option that when they activate their super the other guys c/ds are reduced a little bit... and maybe might generate 1 or 2 orbs of light once in awhile from scorching an enemy. Wow, so much support there. Titans are the only class with any support abilities to speak of, and they pay for it by having a completely non-offensive super if they are a defender. Ward of dawn is a decent, conditional support power, and the ability to generate light orbs every now and then when killing with heavy weapons, neat. Hunters do not have any direct support abilities, rather seem to focus entirely on dealing damage, with kills giving extensions to supers, or resetting c/d's or restoring health immediatly upon killing with a blink strike and other things that are designed to let you chain various attacks together. Bladedancer "Beautiful lethality, relentless style" From the classes thus far, this game seems to be focusing more on team based support, not ability. How well you can coordinate with your teammates to take down an objective, not ability based support. In a perfect world I would expect something like this. A horde of enemies approaches a defender, a gunslinger, and a voidwalker.. the minions start rushing towards the group, the warlock hits a choke point with vortex grenade, stopping the flow of enemies going through it, the defender activates ward of dawn, stopping the small arms fire and significantly more painful attacks from a powerful wizard, the hunter activates his golden gun and uses all 3 shots to blast the wizard, hopefully killing it, but some of those bastards are pretty tough. The voidwalker throws a nova bomb into the center of the group, finishing off the wizard and many of the small fries, after that the 3 split up and hunt down the remaining enemies.
