I don't think he is aligned with any of the 3 classes, but if he were any, it would certainly be the warlock. They are known for trying to understand the traveler, and they are the closest to it (as shown by their great control of the light). If not for the vanguard, i would consider him the main leader of the warlocks.

I think he is non of the 3, he is a guide to help both Guardians and is a voice for the traveler. But he is a Guardian because he has a ghost but was brought back for other duties.
