Being able to put up a bubble shield that lasts for a few seconds, once every 4 minutes, is not going to have much impact at all on your survivability. What will is your gear, knowing the boss's moves/warm-up animations, and skill.
Playing Devil's Lair with randoms, I've been in plenty of groups where people will just die again and again to the tank's red laser. No bubble shield every 4 minutes is going to change that. Which is why when I'm raiding, I will not even look at class - it's utterly irrelevant.

That bubble shield can also increase your teams damage output, give your team a personal shield when passing through it or gives significant damage resistance while inside the shield. Pretty handy for any boss encounter. But I do agree with you, baddies will be bad.

Lol that's just crazy...timed right bubbles save lives....once again 100% opinion because no one has raided yet in destiny...but if its like any other raid it will have DMG spikes and hyper modes where staying alive means winning...at least till your over geared and can DPS through those modes.
