I already see hunters getting screwed in raids.

First off I'm hunter. Always will be. It feels like people already don't want hunters in their raid group. They say because it has no support sub class and would be useless. As someone who has raided for many years I know how important a dps is. Going into a raid with all warlocks and titans with their support sub classes active just won't work well. You need those killing machines. Could be a hunter, maybe a Titan with striker or warlock with it's void damage. The other thing is we don't even know at this point if the suspected third sub class for hunter is support or not. It may end up being some long rang heal or maybe even something that grants all your team invisibility. Who knows. Not sure why people are already shunning the hunter for raids but I can see the hunter being great in a raid as a bladedancer and I can't wait to see what the third sub class is if in fact we get one at release. It may very well end up being the best support sub class in the game, it may not but the point is hunters for life. Just like a lot of people who think the Titan is the best melee I beg to differ. Hunters melee is incredible. Note: I am not saying one class is better than the other. I actually think they are all great and I'll play all of them. Hunter will always be my main though. Just like the speed and throwing knife and the jump fits my playstyle. Very fast.

  • A friend and I ran through the beta with pretty much ease as 2 hunters. It might be the fact that we have been working together for a while now but really it depends on play style and skill. I just think the agility made a lot of difference for me, I barely went down at all

The best setup would probably be 3 warlocks 1 hunter and 2 titans.

  • That is why true Hunters are here to show the universe our mighty power, making even the heavens tremble.

  • Because there are a lot of YouTube videos out there about Hunters being "weak" in PvE play....which is non-sense. Gunslinger Hunters just take more skill to use. But as the saying goes, "All good judgment is the product of previous POOR judgement". All it will take is a few attempts at strikes and raids with badly unbalanced fireteams for people to realize that a good offense....is the best defense. Hunters are reliable, DURABLE dps characters....and Bladedancer probably has the strongest AOE attack in the game. So anyone who decides to *categorically* leave them out of end-game missions is being foolish, short-sighted...and will probably (not) live to regret being so.

  • Thier is no dps class, the hunter is more a distraction artist with its agility and blink. For dmg titan defender is needed but not necessary for raids all u need is strategy and effective teamwork.

  • Bring the player not the class.. After many years of raiding you should know this and so should others

Only because there will be so many of them at launch. Once everyone gets bored and switches class in a couple of months they will be sought after. All classes can be set up to be amazing team players or selfish sob's..... It all depends on what skills and armor you choose.

    • I think you need to use the three classes. Hunters aren't useless, I played as on, golden gun is really handy, especially on heavy targets, no ammo limit on it. Blade Dancer would be great on weaker ones saving the team ammo. Hunters can be extremely worth it.

    • Anyone who knows what a raid is shouldnt be shunning hunters. at the very most a raid team in this game should be running 3 supports (at least one of them being a warlock and a titan) and 3 dpsers. at ther very least a hunter will make good trash clean up with golden gun instant killing weaker enemies and arc blade allowing you to melee hopefully a fair amount of enemies into the void. Sure i won't want BAD hunters on my raid team. But i wouldnt want a bad player of any class raiding with me.

    • It sounds like you are bringing some argument from some other retarded mmo here, is that correct? Did you lose there and are now trying to redeem yourself here?

    • Yo it is kinda unintelligent to have more than one hunter in your raid group if you want to speed through it but I'd you're playing with friends why should it matter because it's all about fun I have 2 friends that play hunter and even their personalities and play styles fit the hunter charisma (play for yourself) but I'll still play with them because I have a riot with them and we don't really care if we win or lose as long as we beat it eventually

    • It's quite funny my freind was making fun of me when I made a hunter because he thought they were weak and he died multiple times on the first encounter with hive and I just blissed through it with ease

MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE YOU PLAY LIKE A HUNTER AS A HUNTER, NOT A TITAN. MEANING, YOU SNIPE FROM AFAR.

    • Gunslinger is worthless in PvE, it can kill so few enemies compared to other supers. The bladedancer however will be THE most destructive class hands down with its ability to chain kills infinitely as long as there are still enemies in the area

    • The abilities seem limited for raids but bladedancer will work extremely well in strikes (second to voidwalker, even) but in raids hunters will probably end up as ads cleaners or drones used to kill hoards of enemies that get to close to another player or objective

    • The way I see it, a lot of a raid is going to consist of waves of enemies. If that's the case, then the Bladedancer's encore will be amazing.

      • I was a Hunter. I destroyed. I dropped 45 kills in a PvP match, my ability maybe did about 9 of those kills which leads about 36 of those to my gunskill and decision making. I am not weak. I am a guardian, I am a hunter, lastly I'll be one of the best. Quote me.

          • I agree I played warlock and I think a little bit of everything would be the best... Warlocks 2nd subclass isn't really support cause it works only on the user and just ups it's abilities which isn't the best for PVE

There are three classes.... Lol.... It takes two seconds to hit lvl 20. Everyone is going to be everything, and everything is going to be similar. This isn't WoW, everyone has a gun and everyone is dps. Where do you really think the abilities are going to make or break a raid?? LOL

            • I like the abilities and supers. They change up combat and can turn the tables in everything, especially in PvP. One thing bungle has done very well here is balance the classes. In all honesty I don't see the raiding being as coordinated as the ones in WoW. The difference in class and then role doesn't exsist in the same way here, nor should it! It's a new game and we're going to have to get used to it. I personally will be playing Hunter, and I doubt I will have an issue with getting into raids because player skill counts for 90% of your game and I intend to pay many bills wih my skills.

            • I'm just going to say this once: You cannot treat these subclasses as you would abilities in other MMOs. Too many people feel that their sub class doesn't support enough or won't put up enough DPS with their super... Listen, your gun in your hand is going to do most of your damage. If you honestly need to think you are weak because of your subclass, I will feel sorry for you.
