I know it is too late for it to be added to the game until an expansion, but wouldn't it be cool if they added a 12 Guardian VS horde mode?.
I mean, we are all fighting against the darkness, and at most only 6 at a time actually work together. Imagine a map were the objective is simply "Guardians eliminate any enemy at sight" and 12 Guardians spawn, limited number of lives, matchmaking, horde mode until you beat a "Boss", maybe even a timer until the darkness gets to powerful and you have to be extracted or a kill count until you erase the darkness from that sector.
If I do think lore wise, it would make no sense since we are like the underdog of our own solar system, but I guess that while the game advances (expansions are released) human race starts to get back on its feet. If human race starts to get back on its feet it has to wipe the darkness out in order for the watcher to extend his protection to more territories, wiping the darkness could not be possible on systematic missions but it would be on a "kill anything that moves, find everything that doesn't move and kill it too".
I don't know, I really love Horde Mode in games, and a 12 player horde mode just sounds ecstatic to me. What do yooouuuuuuu guys think?

1 ReplyThis whole game is horde mode except when you're in the lousy loading screen.

I want something on par with ODST firefight...not the watered down version that was included in Reach.

Captured by the Queens brother, the player is dropped into an arena in a fight to the death against the unstoppable horde. #Feedback

Each mission basically is horde mode.

They already have Horde Mode. It is called 90% of the campaign missions

Im imagining something akin to the faction wars that happened outside the cave occasionally but roughly 5 times bigger, and in a "horde" mode exclusive map locale, not on one of the multiplayer maps or in the normal areas of the game, unless its the exclusion zone. (l loves me a good trench warfare scenario)

I just tried a search to see if this has been suggested before, and can't believe the poll results. I think such a thing would be a great addition. Add in twists or something like low lighting / ghost flashlight moments as well. I love the emergent versions you sometimes stumble on, would love to see an on-demand version.
