Interesting Idea, but I just don't see how Bungie creates room for a fourth class in this game. Not when everything seems to be organized around "three's". 1. Three races---human, awoken, exo 2. Three classes---Titan, Warlock, Hunter 3. Three powers from the Traveller---Solar, Arc, Void. 4. Three man fire teams. I just dont' see how you cram a fourth into that..and avoid creating a class that is redundant...or destroys Bungies desire to keep this game primarily a FPS.

  • You do realize that there is an empty space on the guardian's emblem, right? They could have divided it into 3rds, but they choose to use 4ths and fill in the last spot with just diagonal lines. And we all know that bungie doesn't waste time doing something like that, it's a sign that there will be other classes. And the 3 existing classes are could already be boiled down to your typical mmo classes, the Titan is both the warrior and the knight, the Hunter is both the archer and the thief, and the Warlock is both the light and dark mage. I think with a little tweeking the muse could become a perfect addition to the tower.

  • This is a good point... I do think the usual MMO classes would of made it feel to much like all other MMO, (shield guy, healer guy, engineer turret guy, evil magic, good magic, heavy weapons, long distance) yawn!! I suppose three condenses this down so you not limited to play style too much... I do think they shouldn't be so alike though, different vehicles per class, different types of jumping or ability's, I mean its good what they have done but I just wish it was more.

  • I agree. Another thing is were in first person. They are similar but if their are any differences I movement or look we can't see it. I wish each had their own stylized HUD.

Remember, we havent' seen the whole game...and we were capped before we got a chance to see what becomes available to the classes at the highest levels of the game. I think you're going to find that----between armor upgrades/buffs, different subclasses, and abilities within those subclasses, weapon upgrades/buffs...and then the Traveller's Light. I think you can wind up with characters within the same CLASS that play VERY differently. Nevermind between classes. So much so that any of the traditional RPG character distinctions would be overwhelmed and rundown like a speed bump. In fact, by the endgame, I think you're going to have the Call of Duty crowd whining like schoolgirls about The Crucible. Because I think, by then, it is going to look a lot less like your typical military FPS....and looking more like the Biblical War in Heaven. As Guardians fly around looking and fighting like Warrior-Angels.

  • agreed, they only have 3 but those are multi layered... that said.. since you have to work your way up the upgrades, there will be a point were you will have access to everything and so will everyone else your level... there should of been a tree style and by end game you would really only have levelled enough to be good at a handful so not everyone has everything... (I keep going back to this but Dark Souls levelling system was awesome, levelling made small difference so you had to really level a quality to make it noticeable, after so long you need such high points between levels that you really had to have picked a speciality to be any good)
