Part of the problem is the development period is cross gen so your technically looking at a next gen port. So they up our graphics and include ps4/xbone gimmicks support. This was a huge investment and they can't afford to take risks. If it tanks Bungie is done.

That's true. I'm not expecting anything like this at launch, but I'd like to see it at least attempted. I won't be able to buy a PS4 for a while.

Lol your not missing too much right now. Maybe they will have an upgrade/transfer option for people who update to next gen.
