It's fine as is. A pick up group finishing a 16-18 hour instance that requires lots of team cooperation just isn't very likely. That's not to say a pug can't do that, but it's just not likely. Not to mention it's not feasible to think that a group of strangers would stay together for a quarter of that time. If you've played an MMO with end game raiding, you understand why. Typically you can join a queue for a smaller dungeon, because the challenges aren't that hard to overcome (much like strikes). But when you get to huge end game bosses and long raids, it's not something you can queue up for; most of the time you won't even see the inside of a raid unless you're in a good guild or clan.

"Destiny is going to be the first game that brings the raiding experience to the FPS genre. The raid Bungie is going to toss at us? The Vault of Glass. Recently Bungie hosted a group of elite players and gave them a shot at the Vault of Glass. The result was 16 hours of Destiny in which the clan did not clear the raid." http://theguardiansofdestiny.com/2014/07/10/raiding-in-destiny/ I didn't make up the number bro. Straight from the horse's mouth.

  • They could be saying that to hype us up for the game, just as they did when they said that you could explore/walk everywhere you see.

  • Your argument is invalid since it's based not only off a video from over a year ago but you completely misunderstood what was said. They stated that it was all physical geometry and playable space that they hope to take you to one day. Never did they say you could go there on Day 1. Even if you take it the way you said it, you use the word 'could.' Which implies that you 'can,' which is different than 'you can explore/walk.'
