Hopefully Bungie will watch this and please, think carefully before choosing. Sorry about a "Whatever Bungie Chooses" answer being absent.
Just a simple poll for a hot subject right now.

Even if raid matchmaking was in the game, who says you have to use it? You can still create your own fireteam, you don't HAVE to always find random people.
-
Plain matchmaking no, a lobby that requires certain criteria to join yes. Straight up match making would mean you getting matched with people not ready for raids.
-
The people who voted "no" don't seem to realize that matchmaking wouldn't be forced. I don't know why that's such a difficult concept to grasp.
-
If it's matchmaking similar to raid matchmaking that would be terrible. You would get nothing done with players going afk

Edited by Darklighter108: 1/16/2015 7:48:58 PMyeah, have you seen the forums. Every other post is complaining about people raiding with random groups and people either being idiots or elitist d-bags. So many people would quit, boot people because of stupid reasons, boot people before loot droped, and the forums would be filled with posts complaining about the raid. It's a bad idea. Maybe a lfg area in game, but otherwise I really don't even want to raid with most of the people on this forum. It's clear they have to raid in random groups as it's obvious why some of them don't have any friends
-
I think it should be optional, or at least a group forming within the tower. Let's say a vendor that matches across all servers and allows you to find people filtered by level/class/experience. It should not be forced like the regular strikes, because I do not want to be stuck with a bunch of scrubs (I don't mind helping, but not when I have things to do) when it's faster to run the whole raid by myself
-
I'm for it but I would never use it. I just understand that some people would so why deny those people?
-
-
I'm for match making but only with a boot option in case some one goes afk or doesn't have a mic
-
Anyone who wants raid matchmaking has either never done a raid or has a really bad ability to see what effect present actions have on the future.
-
Im actually against it. I love doing random strikes, but, and I say this coming from an old WoW raiding guild, you want to know your raid team. If you are serious about it, find a competent team through strikes if you have to. Just get comfortable playing with them, learn your teams play style and how to be a team. Randoms = hella fail in my opinion.
-
Purposely did both raids with no mics and MM from LFG. Results....A vex and Swordbreaker. Try it before you 'knock' it...'Just Sayin'
-
Don't really care either way. I voted no, only because I think the game would be better served if the devs were working on actual content. If it would be easy to implement, then whatever, I wouldn't care. But, I would never use it. Matchmaking on raids would be a disaster. Even worse than matchmaking for strikes, which is pretty bad.
-
Doesn't really matter although I would be skeptical to use it.

is it really that hard to make friends on destiny? i've made enough friends on this game to always have a raid team on Tuesdays and there is usually enough of them on for later in the week if i need it on another account. i really don't see any reason for a raid MM... plus everyone will just complain about people not having the right stuff and it would just get out of hand. if you really struggle to find a raid team then you can go on LFG, go onto the forums, or if you are really desperate you can go into a twitch chat of someone one who is streaming destiny and try and find someone that way (one of my friends actually found a raid team that way when we first attempted to do atheon when VOG came out. think my friend said it was some streamers called "streamer house" or whatever) my point is that it really isn't that hard to find a raid team and a MM would just ruin things. and who would honestly even use it knowing they would most likely get into a team that won't be able to coordinate correctly?
-
There will be at least an AFK
-
For. You can still make a fire team so why do you care if theres matchmaking too?
-
Matchmaking but not like what we have now. It needs reasonable booting options bare minimum so the team can vote to kick those people who will just sit there or refusing to communicate.
-
The main argument against raid matchmaking is "there could be some lvl 28 scrub who has no clue what he is doing that will weigh down the team" That very well could and would deffinitely happen However, it would be so much easier to just invite the other 4 guys to a party and pick up a 6th guy afterwards than scrounging around on a forum cite with 20 different threads all for the same thing that you hafta type in some gay-ass guy's name with 70 X's and capital i's that look like lower case L's, and then have them not even look at your damn message cuz 50 other mofos already beat u to it
-
I'd like to have the option
-
Why is this still a question, it takes 5 minutes to find a team on lfg or forums. Shouldn't be an issue.
