Hopefully Bungie will watch this and please, think carefully before choosing. Sorry about a "Whatever Bungie Chooses" answer being absent.
Just a simple poll for a hot subject right now.

Why not both?!?!
-
MM should be in the game. Just like private matches. The game needs it but bungie is just like heeelll naaaaaa. There should be an option for MM and of you don't want it just have an option for both

Edited by Dieharderxx: 8/30/2014 3:30:41 AMNot in its current format. Read this week's Bungie update. Matching making sounds like a bad idea, particularly for hard mode raids. Now if Bungie designs a second type of raid for the 80 to 90% of players that can't dedicate themselves to what Bungie currently has designed, then yes to match making.

Edited by Cardinal Erebus: 8/30/2014 4:23:50 AMMM for raids? so you want to team up with illiterate people who can't plan, have no mic or are just total dicks that leave you behind? Enough of this shit about MM for Raids.
-
With matchmaking: get teamed with low IQ players of varying languages and ages. Mic optional, rage quit guaranteed, trolls present, and so on Without matchmaking: rejected because of stats, timezone, language barrier, gear setup, class setup, Ect Moral of the story is: getting groups for raids is just as much as luck of the draw for both match making and no match making. Why is this concept so hard for people to understand and why is it still being debated??
-
What about those people who are like nooooooo none of my friends are online yet and I want to go on a raid of course you are going to get those matches with those people suck or just get pissed every time but there are those other players that can carry there own.
mmmmmmkkkkkkkk
-
I am undecided until tested. Please include as an option.
-
Single player raids? *Funeral*
-
I want MM cause I do not have any friends and I am bad at asking people =(
-
There should be a matchmaking option but i would still try to get some friends together for it.
-
We don't need MM.
-
Add MM. Not everyone has friends who game.
-
After reading that they made Normal Mode easier so that anyone can complete it, I think they should add MM for normal mode.
-
Based on what they said you will NEVER beat the vault of glass with randoms. anyone who beats it would probably have formed their own team over time from people they met in the crucible or friends in real life. Either way, in the end you are GOING to form a strike team yourself and THEN take on the vault. HOWEVER I think if they included a matchmaking system that would allow people to try the vault with randoms, likely fail it over and over again, and eventually they will gather friends to take on the vault. So I say "Let them try and fail on their own with randoms and LEARN that they need a coordinated team."
-
It should be an option. Plain and simple. If you have a team of friends to do this with, more power to you. For those of us who do not have such readily available friends, we are effectively locked out of the raid content. This can only be a bad move for the longevity of the game's player retention. People have varied play times, and play styles. You can call it catering to casuals if you like, but I like to think of it as inclusion. Bungie should WANT as many players as possible experiencing their content. Don't make the mistake of many MMORPG's, and lock out the raid content to a tiny percentage of the playerbase - especially for those of us who are really not interested in the PVP end game.
-
I voted no, but I'm an advocate for a better way to find people to play with. A simple bulletin board to seek raidmates, or something like that
-
I'm yes and no. Yes because it'll save all the hassle, but no because it's better to have people you know, ones who aren't afk, and ones who have mics and utilize team chat.
-
They need a message/group room IN GAME to talk to people before they get matched so they know what they're getting themselves in to.
-
You know what will happen if they add raid matchmaking? You will get the ones without mics. You will get the afk's. You will get the ones who just go in to troll and mess around and ruin it for the others. You will get the ones who never did it before and refuse to listen to instructions. The list can go on and on, there are really much more negative effects MM for raid then there are positives. You post in this forum for MM cause you don't have friends? What the hell is stopping you from posting in the hundreds of topics for others searching for people for the raid? It's really not that hard to find groups to play with.
-
Raiding would be super easy or super hard. Raid matchmaking would be worse than bo2 zombies matchmaking lol
-
How many issues do we have now with randoms in strikes going AFK and then showing up at the end for rewards? No thank you. By now most people should have a fairly consistent group to run raids or nightfalls with.
-
i voted yes, just to see how many rage and rant in forums,, ohhhh sounds like fun.
-
Absolutely not. The crap players you will get stuck with will just eat up time with no progression and be super frustrating. Post in the boards so at least we know a bit about the potential team before we start.
-
i have'nt goten a chance to do to many raids ,not enoight friends online at any given time as the average player is not going to blow out a raid in a hour and a 1/2, so you doneed people to talk and have a clear understading of who is doing what
-
Do you want to get paired up with mic-less scrubs?
-
Even if raid matchmaking was in the game, who says you have to use it? You can still create your own fireteam, you don't HAVE to always find random people.
