so does this mean it has been confirmed by bungie that we are losing our characters

It's has not been officially confirmed but our characters will be deleted or reset to 0 before release, cause like I said the leveling system was made faster during the beta.

personally im pleased if thats true as i can now start fresh and play the game from the beginning the way it is meant to be

No we know are characters will not carry over and i can care less

We do not know, yet for sure. We can only assume it does. Until Bungie says for 100%. The last official statement from Bungie was "We do not yet know. The beta is a test blah blah blah."
