I'm on ps3 and maybe it was just me but nobody was talking in game. Now I'm sad because I'll have to wait over a month to experience this.
Were people more chatty on the ps4 version? I was going to grab that white destiny ps4.

I haven't played on ps3 to compare but I'd assume so. Ps4 just has so many more pre orders it's hard to imagine it won't have significantly more people

They had to be in your fireteam. This was easier if you were doing a pve mission cause some people would be up for joining a team. However in PVP you could not talk to your team or anyone outside your fireteam, and to get them in a team u had to go to orbit and hope they'd join. Even wen they joined you had no idea if they had a mic, most people I invited never, so you would end up with a team of 3/4 PVP players with no mics. Only benefit was that you prob one the matches, but silence victories lol.

Yes, the chat only worked in fireteams. Which is fine by me, I don't need to here everyone, everywhere. Too much muting.

I'm not sure about Crucible, but you can't talk to people not in your Fireteam elsewhere
